Research on blood test results

Morning team,

A little background on me, I’m a 48 year old male experiencing all the typical symptoms of low T. Over the last six months I went from approximately 250 pounds to 215 pounds through exercise and diet. While my symptoms have improved somewhat through losing the weight they have not resolved. I requested my primary care physician complete a hormone test, the results are below. He also tested my estradiol which was 19.7. I plan on doing a lot of research today using the info on this site/forum. Any tips to help guide my efforts would be appreciated! Thanks.

A Free T at 6.12 ng/dL is undoubtedly low. Hopefully your doctor is up to date and well versed in sex hormones. Normal adult male estrogen is 20> for most men.

If TRT is prescribed, due to the somewhat high SHBG, you may need a higher Total T to achieve healthy Free T levels.
