My vitamin D requirements have doubled as I improved my health, lowered my A1C and lost weight, why is that the case?

My parathyroid hormone level is low normal so it seems I’m just super sensitive to vitamin D and can’t handle anything approaching 30. On a sidenote, it seems my high sodium diet for the last three weeks has caused a calcium problem on top of the carnivore diet having virtually no calcium in it.

I supplement the calcium for a day and seem to have mostly recovered. The muscle spasms and cramps were very intense and painful. I even got rashes and hives. I remember eating six eggs for lunch one day and then I started getting hives minutes later, because the high sodium intake causes you to lose calcium.

i wonder if the vitamin D increased absorption of jatenzo as often happens with PED users there dicks stop working too dipsite huge amounts of test.

or perhaps jatenzo was affecting liver function which of course affects ferritin vitamin D etc aswell. there are other things going on that we cant test for either.

anyway, glad u figured it out was alot to do with jatenzo! thought i asked that but matters little!

No I found out I had low calcium. When you increase vitamin D in the presents of low calcium, parathyroid increases causing the bone pain and all other symptoms. I'm taking 3000 IU D3 without issue.

I'm also suffering from hypotension (103/72, too low for me) and my doctor doesn't believe I need blood pressure medicine anymore. The burning, pricking, feeling faint, lightheadedness symptoms are from low blood pressure.

After all those blood donations, reducing my ferritin to below 50, my blood pressure dropped.

I took 5000 IU D3 yesterday and felt amazing, but I had to supplement calcium or those symptoms reappear.

I don't even need magnesium or vitamin K, adding any of these causes problems.

I've reached a steady state on Jatenzo this morning and boy do I feel it!

Now that I've weaned off my beta-blocker I can't tolerate 600 IU D3. It's causing an inflammatory response, painful stomach cramping, excess urination, swelling red fingertips near the fingernail.

This occurs within minutes of taking the vitamin D powder form. The liquid caps cause yellow bruises all over my legs above 400 IU. I can't tolerate any amount of vitamin C supplement (90 mg) either without feeling extremely high.

It's like I've become a hyper responder to many different things all of a sudden.

Now that I’m off TRT and my natural system is producing its own testosterone again a week after stopping (labs coming), I’m suspected to have vitamin D deficiency again based on the symptoms. I also have low lymphocyte counts put me at risk for infection. I have been having sneezing spells a lot lately.

My red blood cell count is at the higher end still and hemoglobin is 17 and hematocrit is 50.1%.

I still can’t tolerate 600 IU vitamin D3, I feel high and nauseated and lots of abdominal and leg cramping. I cannot tolerate foods fortified with vitamin D, only a natural amount in food.

I’ve been drinking raw milk and eggs for my vitamin D and no issues. I seem to have an extreme sensitivity to salt which started after my third blood donation.

My liver and kidney tests are excellent.

Random glucose 116.

Total T = incoming.

My vitamin D levels are at 24 and I’m taking 1800 units of vitamin D3 and I never felt better! 600 units of vitamin D used to get me a vitamin level of 26.

I don’t understand why my vitamin levels are so low. If I take more vitamin D, I get hyperthyroid symptoms, abdominal cramping, generally feeling unwell and fatigue/sleepiness.

My finger and toes burn intensely on and off and hurt to the point where it’s difficult to touch things. It feels like I trim my fingernails too short, that type of pain, but way more intense.

I do feel surprisingly well, in fact I'm still feeling improvements which is confusing to me.

My endocrinologist thinks this is at the kidney level and possibly hyperthyroidism might be driving the excess absorption of nutrients causing my kidneys to dump it. I'll eat a lot of steak and then suddenly the urge to urinate is intense and feels like my body is trying to get rid of something quickly, like diarrhea but just the urination part of it, like my kidneys are in overdrive.

I remember an ER doctor saying my kidneys are unusually strong, maybe a bit too much.

My TSH has been on a downward trajectory since I started TRT. It’s last measurement was 0.45.
