I’ve researched selegiline like crazy, which is used to increase dopamine, and most people feel great on it, but there are plenty of people that I’ve seen report feeling the same ways as u described. Almost always it’s due to them taking too much. U think ur dose of Wellbutrin was just too high possibly? jc. Overall I’m glad to hear that ur doing much better without it

My experiences with these drugs:

Wellbutrin: energy, focus, motivation, anxiety, insomnia, constipation, irritability. Felt like a driven and ultra productive robot for awhile. The Uber focus and motivation went away after a couple months, leaving mostly undesirable side effects as the remaining effects. Under the influence of wellbutrin and alcohol, I was involved in a road rage incident where I almost killed a motorcyclist.

Selegiline: initial energy, mood boost, and dopaminergic good effects that give way to irritability and fatigue with continued use. There may be some mild lingering benefit that did not outweigh the side effects for me.

Selegiline still on my radar (from another thread). Going to experiment with it at some point. I know there are lots mixed reviews out there.

I’ve read hundreds and hundreds of anecdotes out there from guys using selegiline, and it really does seem like anyone that runs into issues with it is simply just taking too much. I’ve taken it off and on for years now, and idk if I’ve ever even felt the effects of it. But based on the longevity studies done on it, I do like the idea of taking a low dose and having it hopefully working in the background to extend longevity

I think it was 5 mg daily, orally. It was maybe 15-20 years ago now so it's difficult to remember exactly. I know I was scared of sublingual due to the massively increased absorption.

Ya pretty sure when I take 1.25mg EOD sublingually that would end up being more in my system than u taking 5mg orally. And I don’t notice anything really from the 1.25mg EOD sublingually. So even a low dose of selegiline resulted in negative sides for u. Just goes to show how differently we all are, and how things can effect different people drastically differently

I think you need to take those with a grain of salt because, like many reviews of drugs or supplements, testimonials are often published early after someone starts. Then the user disappears instead of following up with the disappointing negative outcome.

What is more important to ask is what percentage of people that have tried it are still using it years later. That's the evidence you want to see that something is providing net positive effects over time. With selegiline, that percentage can't be greater than 5% based on what I've seen, and might be even lower than that.

progress.. assuming honey moon period is 100% today I was at 30%. Not there yet but very nice improvement.

Motivated, higher energy i take the pill in the morning to avoid sleeping problems.

Today I felt big improvement in sex, without cialis I had very good erection and got turned on which is something that doesn’t happen before. Or rarely does.

It’s not the honey moon stage but I felt very good improvement. (30%)

I have concerns regarding alcohol and Wellbutrin my friend party is getting closer and seems like it will involve a lot do drinking.

Any experience with alcohol and Wellbutrin?

Conclusion.
I am happy with the result until now and hope it gets even better
Having said that I couldn’t reach orgasm which is something I had for sometime even before trt. During the honey moon period it was possible to reach it.

Also I have not noticed any side effects yet.

Alcohol would make me extra extra sleepy / fatigued. So be mindful.
Apparently it can also make you act like a fratboy who drank 20 redbulls and is blacked out. So buyer beware with the drinking

Yea no point in skipping, youll have it in your system anyway. Just (cautiously) give it a try - not everyone reacts the same way so you might be fine.

I’ve been on it 20 years. It’s a great drug. It helps with depression but also with ADHD. Stop overthinking and just take it. We are constantly over analyzing everything. “Maybe if I do this, add this, microdose this, sit upside down drink water through my nose while munching on the tablet and swirling it in my mouth in a counter-clockwise direction” Just take the med (preferably at 450mg a day) and live your life. Christs sake.

it goes away after the body get's used to it and finds a new homeostasis.

This has not been my experience and think it very much depends on the individual. I'm 55 years old and have been on Bupropion 300 XL for more than 3 years, and it still has a major positive effect on my libido. In fact, if were any more effective it could become problematic. I noticed it the first week I started taking it and it hasn't changed. I still have cycles, but mostly I want sex all the time. It's a physical urge, and it also makes me think about it a lot (maybe too much).

I read a post from a girl on some forum who was on it and had the same thing. She said that she thought about sex so much that her husband annoyed her if he was doing anything other than having sex with her.
