Did you ever measure your DHT level or just assumed it? Proviron can increase DHT and increase libido in some men but not in all. And the benefits tend to wear off with time. It’s not FDA approved in the US.

Big fan, I have been watching your videos for a few years. I have yet to get bloodwork and I realize this is of critical importance. I'm kind of grasping at straws here. I'm fairly certain I could benefit from higher DHT levels; what should I be looking for on bloodwork? I know the medically accepted ranges for hormones can be useless. I also realize that Proviron is illegal here and for that reason, it is less than ideal. Do you think I should try to upregulate 5AR? I'd like to try transdermal cream in conjunction with my daily injections but I don't know how to access it.

I would try scrotal application of a compounded testosterone cream plus injections. That should increase DHT. I would also add 10 mg per night of cialis if you can tolerate it. HCG increases my libido considerably, so that is a other good option as monotherapy or added to TRT.

I think using scrotal hydrogel testosterone cream is the way to go. Empower Pharmacy makes it now. It absorbs a lot better than the regular cream and it increases DHT and libido a lot better. That is what I am using now alone.

The prescription should be written as
Testosterone hydrogel cream , 200 mg/ml, 30 ml, #3, apply 4 clicks per day after showering as directed.

Testosterone in Atrevis hydrogel base = almost double test levels!

I’m injecting DHT Valerate which is real dht with an ester attached to it. I’m aiming for high end of range so around 80. I’m getting bloodwork done tomorrow to see what 400mcg daily has done to my level. Before starting dht it was 48ng/dl while injecting 5.5 mg test e/ 3 mg test p daily.

Are side-effects of DHT like balding or acne are mostly genetics?

If someone have too high DHT but are not genetically prone to those side-effects, will those side-effects happen?

Or if someone is genetically prone to those side-effects, but his DHT is in range, will those side-effects still happen?

My DHT after 3 months on TRT is 125 ng/dl. Total Testosterone 1255 ng/dl. Dr Saya said the my DHT level is proportionate to where my Testosterone is, so it isn't concerning, unless I experience hair loss. But then I read here the ideal is 40-70 ng/dl. Does this mean too high DHT is ok as long as one doesn't experience negative side-effects?

So far I have no hair loss. Just bit of acnes. And faster hair growth.

My regimen, both 2x/week :
Testosterone cypionate 70 mg
HCG 400 IU

I believe it is not just the dht that does this. Without all other hormones being adequately high the high dht can cause a significant shift in lipids and maybe triglycerides but I’m not sure. I’d think especially e2 is important to maintain healthy levels of hdl. This altered metabolism relating to the lipids may contribute to the acne. It’s not just a dht thing.

Am I right in saying that you use this gel without also using injections? I've been using injections with and without HCG and despite bloodwork all looking great, unfortunately I have not been able to restoire libido... I am now thinking of experimenting with a little extra DHT from a DHT derivative such as Primobolan depot maybe starting at 5mg per day added to my daily test injections...

Well this is big news!!!! How long have you been doing this and how do you like it? You aren't even using HCG anymore? And why did you make the switch? and what about the estrogen pills you taking?

Is this the Atrevis base? Confused in that I thought it was alcohol based and could not be scrotally applied.

Also, if stopping HCG, you have always stated how important that is for backfilling etc., do you plan to get back on HCG? Thanks!

I was due for a refill so I just called and asked for the hydrogel. Prescription states to apply to a clean dry shaven scrotum. So I guess the hydrogel is alright on the ol ballsack

I do cycle derivatives but the heightened DHT has given me consistant results over the last 8 months. As with all there is a balance though, I made some rushed adjustments and it bit me in the ass. Stay on course with minor adjustments with a long distance vision is paramount......

Just got m initial blood work back. One of my chief complaints is low libido. Tetestorone is low but the big stand out is my dht is 29 so it's really low. I'll have to ask about this when I have my consult.

Replying to several posts in this tread:

1- My dose (4 clicks) is 200 mg/day (standard dose)
2- hCG dose of 500 IU twice per week for testicular atrophy
3- Yes, I apply it to scrotum and don't feel any burning sensation. I apply half the dose there and the other half on my inner thighs.

So far, so good.

I added 5mg per day of Primo but it made no difference... However this was a underground lab so its possible to be bunk.

No... No improvement whatsoever... I just don't think testosterone injections/HCG/Exemestane will ever work for me... It is absolutely destroying me... Extremely depressing! I would like to experiment with DHT gel but not sure if it is something that I will be able to source and not sure if my doc will prescribe it to me...
