I should've mentioned that I have trained consistently and hard at least 5 to 6 days a week for many years. That is how I was able to minimize the loss of lean mass. The goal here was to lose as much body fat as possible which I have done but want to be sub 10. Then to lean bulk as much as possible.
I have done a modified PSMF diet and have lost a total of 30lbs in 3 mos. Body fat went from 24% to 12%, muscle mass decreased about 6-7lbs. My waist was 36", now 31".
Avg macros:
Before diet:
kcals: 2000-2350
pro: 165-175g
cho: 50-75g
fat: 125-150g
During diet (after 6 weeks, increased pro...
The PSMF is a calorie, carb and fat restricted diet + high protein. I did not go strict and could not start at the 800kcal ceiling per day nor could I restrict fat to 20g or less. I started at a low of ~ 1000kcals and then took the protein intake a little higher to slow muscle catabolism from...
Update from initial post.
Guys, I'm not 100% to my final goals yet, but for the first time in my life, I hit my mark in terms of recomp, am in better shape than in my 20s (I'm 5-7, now 165lbs, almost 65, was 193lbs at my heaviest) and now am on my way to the *refinement stage. I did it in less...
You are exactly where I was at in terms of numbers when I was in my mid 50s. If you're 34 now, by the time you reach your mid-50s, there's a good chance your T levels will be quite a bit lower.
By the time I reached my 60s my levels tanked into the low 400s. Enclomiphene citrate (25mg daily)...
Glad you mentioned CoolSculpting which primarily reduces subcutaneous fat accumulation by freezing adipocytes. How did it damage you? Also, I assume lipo not going to work for this application since it's loss of collagen/elastin and not excess fat?
5'6". Was 190, now 170 and dropping further. I have leaned out considerably in my arms, legs and waist, but I don't see improvement yet in the breast tissue. Specifically ptosis (excess skin, drooping, sagging) in the lateral pecs.
I do not have gyno. At least not from the photos I've seen of...
You are correct in that pair-bonding and procreation are our inborn default positions encoded in our genes from birth as it is for every living creature, but it is an idealistic notion to believe they still have the same benefits in today's world that they did in the last century. For a straight...
Update:
Coming up on the big two months.
Another month from doing a DEXA follow up.
Still a work in progress, however, it's thus far been the best progress ever made in my case. I attribute the majority of that to the PSMF diet. It actually works.
I manage to drop about 20 lbs overall, mostly...
I have a NORMAL PSA but consistently low FREE PSA. Should I be concerned?
Low percentage of free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a strong predictor of later detection of prostate cancer among Japanese men with serum levels of total PSA of 4.0 ng/mL or less - PubMed
In the midst of trying to see if I can make fat free or low fat kefir or yogurt from raw milk, this is all I have available while on this cut. The extra kcals from full fat dairy killed any chance of fat loss in my case.

No. I am on a major cut (PSMF diet) to recomp which is protein dominant and reduces carbs and fats to <20g/day. The only dairy I am consuming now is fat-free, so had to stop the full fat for that reason.
There are many antigenic components to dairy that can affect sensitive people including casein, beta-casomorphins, lactoalbumins, lactoglobulins, etc. Unless one does extensive esoteric testing, one would never know which component.
I've have observed no deleterious reactions to raw fermented...
Delayed IgG4 food sensitivity testing, while not 100% accurate, can help pinpoint those delayed symptoms. I also test for inflammatory cytokines but haven't seen any of them elevated enough to pinpoint a culprit nor have I observed any untoward reactions to foods. That doesn't mean I don't have...
My first entry into alternative health was 40 years ago when the first cytotoxic food allergy tests became available to the public, and since, have taken every food allergy test out there, thus, I am no stranger to food intolerances and sensitivities. I learned about the 4-5 day rotation and...
Ok. Now on the raw dairy - I do consume it, however, only cultured (kefir, yogurt) in which the microbes metabolize lactose to lactic acid, leaving virtually no lactose. At least that's what's supposed to happen. It's the milk proteins itself that I am concerned with.
hsCRP 2-3. Yes, tried all the diets over the years and nothing seems to move the needle. No known chronic infections, T2D. Only thing I can think of is hypertension which I'm already treating but systolic remains elevated. BP:135-140/70-75. Could also perhaps be gut issues, but that's like...
I just started on a combination of tadalafil-vardenafil 2.5mg qd. One of the very common side effects is headache (due to the vasodilatory effect). On day 3, I started experiencing intermittent bouts of ice pick headaches on the left temporal side of my skull which only lasted for 10 min. then...
Is anyone currently taking it?
I have a scrip of 0.6mg. Lipidologist suggested it for reducing hsCRP, the #1 non-specific marker for inflammation, but have been hesitant to start because of some of the side effects, although I suspect it's term and dose-dependent.
Low...
I just started the Maximus Blood Flow Protocol combination of sublingual low-dose vardenafil & tadalafil). 2.5mg daily.
