Man, it’s so frustrating to see guys still battling the whole high HCT/ HGB and low iron thing. I’m not trying to come down on u specifically. Ur one of very many that are still caught up in this ridiculousness, and struggle with an issue that literally could not be easier to fix. Hct and HGB are just measurements of ur hydration status basically. They obv measure how many RBC’s and oxygen carrying proteins that u have in ur blood compared to the total volume of blood, but being properly hydrated can lower both measurements drastically. Not many people are actually properly hydrated. You could drink 2 gallons of water per day and still be dehydrated. All someone in ur situation has to do is learn how to properly hydrate ur cells, which will lower ur HCT and HGB levels into a healthy range, as well as lower ur BP into a healthy range. And then stop donating blood and let ur iron levels come back up. It’s honest to god that simple. I’ll link the best vid on how to properly hydrate urself that I’ve ever come across, and I’ll also link a vid talking about how slightly higher BP levels than we’re used to are most likely still very healthy. And this info is coming from a doctor

so there’s ur solution, and the solution almost every guy out there on HRT that struggles with the whole high HGB/ HCT levels, and low iron levels due to donating blood too often can implement. Now what will u, and most guys in ur situation actually do? Not watch either vid, and continue to not fully understand how to properly hydrate their cells and their body, and continue to be in a constant state of whether they should lower their dose, donate blood, and/ or take an iron supplement, or even get off of HRT all together possibly. But hopefully there’s at least a few guys here that are smart enough to implement this extremely easy and effective solution. It’s just really tough seeing guys struggle with this issue, when it’s honestly one of the easiest issues to remedy. Another thing I highly recommend for BP is magnesium. Everyone should be taking it, but definitely anyone with BP issues should take it. There’s many other easy ways to lower BP, but taking magnesium, properly hydrating urself, and using the correct forms of salt can do the trick for most people

This was an amazing presentation about what and salt. Thank you!

It was right?? That vid was such a game changer for me. I’ve never had an issue with HCT/ HGB and/ or BP since watching it. I must have watched it around 8-10 times by now over the years. I feel like I get a new little piece of useful info everytime I do

You can say and support it is related to hydration status. I have no doubt that both marker of HBG and HCT will improve with better hydration. HOWEVER, improved hydration, drinking more water, also increases blood volume. As blood volume increases, so will your blood pressure. In essence, you are increasing the volume of fluid running thru the pipes, (your blood vessels) and when you increase the volume, the pump (your heart) has to work harder to move all the additional volume so in the vast majority of people will still see higher blood pressure. Why do you suppose physicians often use diuretics to help reduce blood pressure? You think they like the idea of people urinating more often? I am sorry for the sarcasm, but what I have stated is absolutely accurate and true. There is NO free lunch. When you increase HGB and HCT. You can choose to take blood pressure medications, and if your pressure is high, regardless, you should take them. You can also choose to take BP meds and still have high HCG and HCT. In that instance, there may not be a long term risk. You could drink enough to lower your HCG and HCT, take BP meds and keep your pressure in the normal range too. There are many combinations of ways to have both normal HCT and HBG, and control BP. THAT is what I would suggest everyone consider. But, again for the record, hypertension is a significant, well know, well defined long term health risk. Simply drinking more, to lower HCT and HCG without carefully following your bp and managing it too if it is high will lead to serious health consequences. Not if, but when.

Optimal solutions are easy when unconstrained by physics, physiology, blah blah.

Thanks for your post.

Yeah, absolutely. I'll be watching it again, as it went smooth as butter. Shes a great teacher and so easy to understand the way shes explaining. Will be going to buy good salt and if shop don't have it will be ordering. Which one you using, the Celtic one?

It’s all about balance man. Being dehydrated can cause increased BP, and being overly hydrated can temporarily increase BP. But if u think being properly hydrated is gonna increase ur BP, ur out of ur mind lol. Just Google it. Everything that pops up will tell u that dehydration can increase BP, and properly hydrating ur cells will lower it. Plus the proof is in the pudding. Anyone can say whatever they want, including google. But properly hydrating urself with water that has minerals/ electrolytes in it, will always lower/ normalize BP. Anyone that tries it will see for themselves, including u. Real world results are all that matter at the end of the day. But if ur a science type person, there’s obv ways that this can be explained. A few include the fact that when ur dehydrated ur blood is more viscous, and when the blood is more viscous, it takes more pressure to push nutrients from the blood into ur cells. Hence ur blood pressure increasing to get oxygen and nutrients from the blood into ur cells. Also, thinner blood is just easier to pump throughout the body. Allowing blood pressure to not be as high. And another hormone to consider is vasopressin, aka anti-diuretic hormone. It‘s the hormone that gets secreted when the body needs to conserve fluid. It’s a hormone that gets released more when u are dehydrated, and released less when we are properly hydrated. The thing about vasopressin is that it can constrict blood vessels, and has been known to contribute to increased BP. These are just a few regulatory systems to consider. But the body is full of mechanisms to maintain homeostasis. It’s obv not as simple as more water in = more blood volume = increased blood pressure. Body is just not that simple. Way more balance/ counterbalance systems going on than that.

Like I said, the guys that watch the links I posted, and implement the ways she talked about to properly hydrate themselves, and increase their magnesium intake, and start using the correct forms of salt, will see both a decrease in HCT/ HGB levels, as well as BP. I guarantee it. And the guys that are their own worst enemies and don’t want to implement what works will continue to be stuck in the hopeless cycle of having “high” hgb/ HCT, whilst having low iron levels from donating blood too often unfortunately. U can lead a horse to water, but u can’t make it drink

Ya I use both Celtic sea salt as well as redmonds real salt. They’re the two best salts u can get as far as I know. If ur only gonna use one, I would definitely go with Celtic sea salt. That’s the one I put in any water I drink. I use the redmonds on a couple of my meals each day. And use some more Celtic sea salt with my first meal of the day. I get them both either on Amazon or from the companies original websites

Flawed study man, just like most studies out there. They’re referring to table salt. Table salt is horrible for u, and will cause many issues in the cardiovascular system over time. And will definitely contribute to high BP. Whilst something like Celtic sea salt, in moderation, will improve overall health, including improving cardiovascular health, and improving BP. Table salt and celtic sea salt are two completely different things. Just like commercial pasteurized/ homogenized dairy is horrible for u, and grassfed raw dairy is very good for u. Same with butter. Butter from grain fed cows isn’t good for u at all, but grassfed butter is really good for u. 99% of studies done on salt are gonna be useless because they use table salt in the studies. But if u want to just reaffirm what we already know, which is that table salt is very bad for us, in every way, then ya, go nuts and read/ post all the salt studies u want. Don’t see a point tho. They’re all gonna show the same thing. That table salt wreaks havoc on the body. The only thing different in each study is gonna be what part of the body that the salt is wreaking havoc on that they decided to focus on

suggest u watch the vid I posted. She goes over why table salt is horrible for u, and why something like Celtic sea salt is good for u

Potassium to sodium ratio is important. To posit that most humans in today's world with current dietary practices are sodium deficient is quite flawed.

Nothing special about sea salt. Basically a homeopathic argument.

I suggest you read the links I shared before. Or not if you are getting the desired placebo effect you want with the sea salt.

Did I mention I despise scammers, charlatans and the like.

They prey on the uneducated and those that have not taken freshman chemistry.

Make sure to get your hydrogen water to go with that Celtic Sea Salt.

im definitely not implying that most people are salt deficient. I’m saying that most people are just using the incorrect from of salt, and it’s having negative effects on their health. While Celtic sea salt, with most of the minerals that are supposed to be in salt, and that have been in our salt for most of our evolution, and what are bodies are meant to intake and process, will improve a persons overall health. When used in moderation. But table salt, used in any amount, is always going to have negative effects on the body.

and as far as BP and fluid balance goes, potassium is just as important as getting enough of the proper form of salt in ur diet. They’re both vital to having proper fluid balances in the body. Most of the time people don’t need to decrease their salt intake, they need to increase their potassium intake

Homework for tonight...count up the minerals (other than sodium)
you ingested through food today vs what you got from Celtic Sea salt. What is the ratio?

I will share a third time...

What’s ur point? Celtic see salt is just an easy way to have close to 80 minerals dissolved into ur water, so that the water will actually get absorbed into ur cells, instead of just passing through ur system, and actually flushing out electrolytes. if u can get all those minerals into ur water another way, go for it. I would imagine u would get the same effect as putting Celtic salt in ur water. Even if the ratios of minerals are minuscule in the Celtic sea salt, it’s still doing the job of getting the water into ur cells

what ur saying is like saying hey, inject a bunch of water into the patients IV, and then have them eat something really salty afterwards. That would not be the same thing as injecting saline into someone’s IV

overall the proof is in the pudding tho. Anyone that tries it will see, and experience the same placebo effects for themselves lol

Haha. What do you think is added to saline IV?

Guess what? It ain't celtic sea salt.

I will answer your question about water ingestion vs IV in more detail later.

Administering pure water in an IV would be malpractice / negligence and nothing remotely like drinking it.

I thought you were a nurse?

That’s exactly my point. U were asking how many minerals I ingest from my diet, compared to how many minerals I get from sea salt. I was saying that as far as hydration goes, the minerals I get from my diet are irrelevant. Only the electrolytes/ minerals that are in my water help the water go where it needs to go. I was using the comparison of injecting water into an IV, and then having the person eat something with a high salt content, vs injecting them with a water solution with salt diluted into it already. Very big difference

We are like an Abbott and Costello routine. Have a good evening.

An IV of pure water is nothing remotely similar to ingesting pure water.. Former goes directly to blood stream. Later is under direct control of complex regulatory processes coupled to kidney.

Hydration?...drink water. Do you measure the ion content of your Celtic sea salt infused water? Are you sure it is isotonic? If concerned with maximum hydration do you add glucose?

celtic sea salt hydrates no better than table salt infused water. Celtic sea salt is homeopathic table salt for two or three times the price per kg. Please see all the above material I provided above if you are interested.

PS...been drinking RO or distilled water for last 30 years. I also eat food. Take chelated Mg and Potassium Rx as well.

If you plan on fasting for 30 days then dont drink pure water.

You can lead a horse to table salt infused water but can't always make him drink.

I will take the above evidence provided over the smooth talking scam artist. It sounds good though.

Peace.

It sure sounded good though SMH I listened to more of her and liked the way she presents it but now since you exposed her as another snake-oil salesman- she can't be trusted in my book. Shame, I liked her.
