TRT and Heart Palpitation

BTW, the heart is hard wired to the brain and vice versa. Often times palpitations will create anxiety before you even know you're having them in people that have never had anxiety issues before. Vagal afferents. It is not always anxiety that drive them. Large meals and reflux can also irritate the vagal nerve and the esophagus sits against the left atrium. When its pissed off, so is the left atrium. Hiatal hernias have been know to trip off V-tach bc of pressure and inflammation.

No bro, I can notice it happening because it's a very bad sensation. One of the worst in the life, imo.

I suffered the last two nights when trying to sleep and it's like anxiety attack. I started to think about my sister, my future, my business, etc. It's very uncomfortable.

I guess it's low E2 sympthom because I am using a low dose of testosterone now and never had this on 150mg/200mg range.

Any ideas of what to do in middle of the crisis to calm down will be appreciated.
It sounds like you're having anxiety attacks when you get stressed, the symptoms can sometimes feel like you're having a heart attack. You should follow up with your doctor or cardiologist to get it properly diagnosed or to rule out any type of heart irregularity (A.Fib, PVC's)

RO sleep apnea, otherwise probably stress. Get worked up, if they can't find anything a beta-blocker like propranolol will help 20 mg 3 - 4x a day. I have had an ablation for atrial ecotopies that was successful but I still have 2 ventricular hot spots that won't quit. Some days 2000/d some days 10,000/d and that makes them hard to map for an ablation. They drive me nuts, give me a headache and make me feel sick. There is no association with anything you'd think would be a trigger. Sometimes they go away with exercise, sometimes that are worse following. Always worse at night, esp 2 - 3 hrs into sleep, I was tested for apnea and negative. Has nothing to do with HRT in HRT doses. Never heard of E2 being a trigger. Order one of these from Amazon, they can give a really clean lead II that you can print off a PDF from and give to your doc. Will help determine what is going on when they occur. Wilson - What do you mean by you feel sick when the palpitations flare up? My palpitations are often accompanied by low-grade dizzyness and nausea with a fuzzy head feeling. Very unpleasant, but like you, I can sometimes make it go away with exercise, which seems counterintuitive.

Sorry don’t mean to highjack OP’s thread, but figure it was related to palpitations.

In general, if they go away with exercise, that is a good thing. Worsen with exercise usually happens in a diseased heart. When they flare up, I get uncomfortable, nausea, headache and fell just generally ill. Rarely dizzy or warm headed feeling. If you're getting that it may be an NSVT, SVT or a-fib. Always best to get it checked. The link I posted for the HR monitor will tell you what is going on and also allows you to show your doc bc sometimes that don't catch it on a holter and think you're nuts. These can really fuck up your QOL at all levels. Some people never feel them, I feel every one and can tell you which one of the two I just felt as they come from two different places of the heart. Attached is a PDF from that monitor. It was from a Sat night that woke me up, I had reflux and nausea along with it. Had to sit up for about an hour to get it to calm down. There are 6 PVCs in that 30 s ECG, two different ones. The wide bizarre one is easy to spot, the other looks like an early atrial beat but it is ventricular (wider than normal QRS), anyway probably more than you want to know, but this helps my cardiologist know what is going on. Feels like someone is slapping my heart around with a ping pong paddle when I get them. I hate it and it doesn't matter what I do, no alcohol, coffee, etc. makes any difference. Stress, meals and reflux always make them worse.

Agree get it checked, if they are benign then ask for propranolol, very old and very safe, short acting beta blocker will help mitigate the stress response. Propranolol is used often for situation anxiety, essential tremor, etc. Low doses 20 mg 3 x a day you'll hardly notice, but that's for your doc to decide based on your history. There are some fucked up times and they are not going away anytime soon.

Ok, but I am not feeling it now that I am on higher dosage. Do you understand?

I read that low E2 or low T causes anxiety and depression. Am I wrong?
