Beard growth/face changes and TRT protocol - just me?

If you're experiencing overstimulation due to the half0life of injections, lowering the dose won't matter. Changing the delivery method/half-life is the only option.

Beard growth/face changes and TRT protocol - just me?

I didn’t notice a difference in my ratios of other hormones at midpoint and peak on injections versus orals. The only thing that changed was the half-life and the large fluctuation in hormone levels. The medium half-life injections can cause overstimulation because level stay elevated longer...

Perhaps you’re overdosed on IM. Try lowering your dose if you go back to IM.

New Member -- Will Take All the Advice I Can Get; Initial Questions re Dose

I never felt right on injections. The shorter half-life formulations really change things for me. My natural levels more closely mimic the shorter half-life formulations. The difference between early morning and late afternoon are dramatic.

This is one of the reasons why many men continue to struggle with TRT. As of right now your hormone levels are unsteady. If you were on Jatenzo or Kyzatrex, you'd reach steady levels in 7 days due to the shorter half-life.

    Need some advice.

I remember a fellow from the UK who started TRT and couldn’t handle any alcohol afterward where beforeTRT he didn’t have any issues. He would have a couple sips of alcohol and wake up with a horrible hangover lasting for days.

    High DHT

There’s a pretty substantial difference in the half-life between topical cream and injections. You’re injecting daily and your hormone levels are virtually unchanging, always elevated whereas the cream levels fluctuates wildly. Daily infections usually causing too many problems for you...

    Pygeum, DHT and Muscle Mass

Blocking DHT could hurt cognitive function, wellbeing and libido. The conversion process of testosterone to DHT is a precursor to so many neural steroids. Affecting one pathway can have downstream effects to the conversion process of other neural steroids. DHT is the most potent hormone among...

    6 month bloodwork

No, I wouldn't recommended a blood donation for a HCT at 50%. If it bothers you go to a lab company with a 52% cutoff. My providers lab company has a 49% cutoff for HCT. I had an HCT at 55% and my doctor wasn't worried because my blood pressure was controlled. It takes knowledgeable doctor with...

    6 month bloodwork

The is the wrong way to do things, you test at trough, not peak. Your levels are lower 2.5 days later and that's where you want to test levels. Whatever is causing your liver enzymes to be elevated is probably the cause of your low-T, because TRT improves liver function...

    Question about dosing.

The peak is short-lived, levels drop rapidly after that! If your trough level is too low and peak is too high, it will be impossible for some to truly feel optimized. For these men twice weekly is prefered to the yoyo hormone levels you get on a weekly protocol, where levels peak high and low...

Hair Loss & Acne Side Effects

I've been off TRT for more than 6 months (on TRT for 7-8 years) and my male pattern baldness is unchanged. The standard of care for TRT being, 200 mg every 2-4 weeks. A lot of these men are poorly managed on therapy as it is. These protocols are known to increase chances of erythrocytosis (supraphysiological to hypogandal every 10-14 days) for these metabolically compromised men. These men are...

I can see your problem. You lack basic understanding of hematocrit and how it one of the benefits of TRT. Even slightly over the range is considered healthy, but somehow you convinced yourself it's unsafe. I have labs showing my hematocrit change 4% (55->51%) in a few hours, because I had...

    New blood work

Please share lab results instead of saying RBC is high, then we can have a more productive conversation. Why do you think high red blood cells, hematocrit and hemoglobin is bad for you? TRT is likely pushing your ferritin down, the blood donations may not benefit you anymore.

    New blood work

You now may have a reason for low ferritin. Why are you donating blood? Donating blood will lower ferritin which then requires iron supplements which will increase the hemoglobin. You see the problem here?

    New blood work

Your ferritin levels are low and may or may not be a problem. Testosterone increases hemoglobin and hematocrit which uses up iron, ferritin is iron storage. Testosterone increases red blood cells, same as if you lived at high elevation. If you...
