In my case yes. I started high protein diet low carb about 8 weeks ago. Was dealing with bad constipation for a month..... tried extra fiber, water, softeners etc. Ended up with a bacterial infection that involved prostate and seminal vesicles. Ouch! Confirmed inflammation from Dre and CT...
Sitting at week 4 since discontinuing. The water weight loss stabilized at around 10lbs. Much less bloated and all my bacne is gone. Other than that I feel the same, which is pretty good.....libido good, workouts good, no ED, no atrophy pain or size loss. I will have labs done around the...
I had heartburn really bad initially and it has totally subsided. Even on small doses the heartburn was pretty bad initially and lasted a couple of months. I did not get the muscle aches and back pain that seem to also be very common. I would take a Tums and help with the issue. Now I have...
Same here. My volume/sensitivity went down on TRT solo.....did not come back to normal after adding HCG at different dosages over past two years. I look at this as cost of admisssion for me too.
I use 20mg tablets and split 4 ways with a basic pill splitter. I take 10mg a day 5mg morning 5mg night. It had a negligible effect on BP and I take it more for the NO effect in my stack. Erections were OK without it....great with it! I started low 2.5mg a day and evaluated sides.....moved...
It is early on and we will see how it goes longer term. I left my T dose the same, for now, to establish a new baseline and see how I respond and feel. The good thing is HCG is simple to add back if warranted. I will post back my experience and labs when I get 8 weeks or so in.
I gave it two years and currently feel that I need to take some time off it and evaluate. I may try again at some point in the future, as I have seen that over time, some have come back to it with good results.
I know this is one of the most divided topics in TRT, where many opinions and theories abound. I have been on HCG for two years mostly because of the “refilling the pathways” theory. I have never felt anything positive from it. I also supplement preg and DHEA at the request of my doc. My...
Had to go back and look at my last report. There are a couple of different acronyms and they seems to differ some by lab. The lab I use is my pcp’s lab in an oncology center. The platelet measurements that show up on my CBC report is MPV- platelet volume and PDW-platelet distribution width.
My platelets have remained consistent prior to TRT. My HCT/HGB started raising a few months into treatment and has been the largest issue that I have not dialed in yet......maybe my body will never reach the place Vince has where his adjusted and found homeostasis..... You may never have the...
I have achieved this experimenting with three different methods....one was low dose AI, two was no AI, but the removal of HCG from my regiment, and 3 was no AI, using HCG, and lowering my dose of T. All three worked in gettin’ my E2 and SHBG in close proximity range.
My NP at Defy has had no concern with my Free T #’s in 30 range. Within reason, it is all about how I feel and managing the side effects that are usually different for most of us.
Me too.....when my SHBG and E2 are in close range of each other, I feel my best as well. My SHBG stabilized in the low 30’s.....When I manage my E2 to this range it is my sweet spot!
No I do not. I check both HCT/HGB levels every six weeks, as well as Iron and Ferritin. I have found that my HCT will rise to about 52ish over the course of three months and phlebotomy at that interval typically allows me to keep iron and ferritin in range, while dropping HCT/HGB to a...
For some of us the thickening of blood is just cost of admission to be on TRT. For others their bodies adjust and HCT/HGB settles in an acceptable range. I am one that no matter the dose or schedule of Injection of T, my HCT and HGB climbs to levels I must do phlebotomy. Usually 3-4 times a year.
I have supplemented zinc and copper for years, changing doses to see if it would lower E2.....it has 0 effect on my E2. zinc, calcium d glucarate, dim all are pretty much “snake oil” for me. The only things that ever lowered my E2 was lowering my T dose or adding a low dose AI. Glad it works...
I have often wondered about this as well. When I have felt the best my SHBG and E2 were in the same neighborhood of low 30’s. That requires me to take a small dose AI to achieve. When not on AI my E2 raises into the 50’s. Other than some water retention no major symptoms but I do not feel as...
Yes, I was at 50mg E3.5 days and started @ 12mg daily.....that landed my total T almost identical. 830-850total T, SHBG 25-30, Free T 25-30. 84mg(daily 12mg)week gave me steady state comparable to trough on 50mg E3.5D. The last 8 weeks on dailies I also raised the dose to 14mg just as a trial...
Same here. I tried dailies for 6 months. I felt so flat emotionally. My E2 actually went up, my HCT remained unchanged.....no reason to pin everyday. I feel my best on E3.5D and that’s it for me. Just no real benefit for me to go through the routine daily.
After 4ish years, my HCT has never stabilized. I donate 4 or so times a year to keep below 54. I have tried daily, EOD, E3.5D....same result. I have been as high as 120mg week to a low of 80mg a week.....still my HCT and HGB continue to increase after phlebotomy. I have settled on E3.5D...
MY doc started me at 2 clicks compounded cream daily. Took my levels total T to around 500. We went to 4 clicks daily and my levels were around 700 with free t still in the mid teens, my SHBG was on the high side and the doc thought I would be better served with a larger injection weekly, so I...
I am with Defy as well. One thing I would add is I tried pellets several years ago and I am not aware if any changes to the protocol, or T delivery have improved since then. There may have been some advances in that protocol I am unaware of.
You probably won’t find a lot of support here for pellet therapy from those of us who have tried it. I tried pellets initially as my first protocol on trt.....it was not a good experience and after 6 months I switched to creams, then to injections. I never felt good on the Pellet protocol. The...
My Hematocrit did not change at all in the 8 weeks, and hemoglobin went up very little by 0.2.
I tried similar and did not have your resulting increase in Ferritin without raising HCT and HGB. The only thing I believe that will help this cycle, For me, is finding the lowest dose of T that...
My pharmacy stocks a lot of generics and I have had used several different types from the name brand depo-test, to cipla, to sun pharma....etc. I have not seen any real variation in my labs between any of them. I am using Cipla generic currently. I used compounded T once and saw no difference...
So much of the challenge is the sheer time and process it takes to figure out what works for each of us. Every protocol change is a 6-8 week window for results and adjustment. I wish I would have started lower dose T and worked my way up vs now titrating down to manage sides. Live and learn.....
