Been on cyp since September. I inject 50mgs twice a week.. had blood work done a few weeks ago total t was 512, free t was 17, now my E2 was off the charts at 84. For the last few months I have felt like crap, absolutely no energy, low labido, super tired, extreme fatigue, body just hurts. Doctor refuses to give me a AI so for the last week I have been taking zink and calcium D glucarate to try and drop the E2 (still feel like crap but didn't expect this to work over night) but what do I do?? Do I keep on the zink and Calcium D glucarate or push my doctor to give me a AI to drop this E2 level??? Also is it worth swapping to subq??? Been doing it IM but have read subq may lower E2 levels.

What was your T and E2 before starting TRT?
Do you feel worse since you started TRT?
The relatively low ratio of T:E2 is for most men not optimal, yes, your E2 level is high.
I would try twice weekly SC injections and get labs few weeks later. Could also just try an AI (low dose) and observe whether you feel better.
Probably best to see another physician if you don't want/can manage your TRT yourself. Seems he is ignoring 'you' and he probably has very limited knowledge about proper TRT management.

If you feel that you really need an AI, check out some of the India pharmacies.

So when I first started my testosterone was 151 and he never tested my E2 so I have absolutely no idea what that was. Do you think it would be worth switching to subq vs in the muscle?? I'm trying to find another doctor (I got a meeting with a endocrinologist in a few weeks but the reviews ECT just ain't to promising on that. I also been looking into matrix hormones as they got a pretty good track record.. I don't want to take a AI as I know they are hard on your body but I also don't want to feel like crap anymore as well . When I first started T the first month I felt great!!! Then after about a month, month and a half after it seems I started feeling like crap again. And you are correct he knows absolutely nothing about trt management cause this last blood work I had to tell him what to test ECT

Was the same for me.

Anecdotal experiences differ with SC injections, however, I think it's worth a trial. Thus you really need labs done after maybe 2-3 weeks to check your T, E2. However, more important is how you feel.
To test whether the high E2 is causing your symptoms it would be quicker to use an AI in order to limit your E2 to around 50. The dose response to an AI seems to vary greatly thus you should use a low and slow approach. Talking about E2 management and use of an AI is like a tabu here at this forum. ...
Let's assume you lowered your E2 to 50 and feel 'great', then you could/should explore ways to reduce your E2 without an AI for example by SC injections or more frequent IM injections.

You should also test your thyroid values fT4 and fT3 as well as ferritin.

Is your age in your profile correct? You seem to be quite young to need TRT. T deficiency is of course possible at any age and I don't know if it would be better for you to start with enclomiphene etc or whether lifestyle changes could bring a significant change.
