So if you look back at some of the prior posts,you will see words such as "serious" and "dangerous". So all I'm saying is that I am not ignoring this issue. I'm going to continue to monitor it. Even get a second opinion on it. But to use those descriptive words... well you can understand how that can affect my posture.
A "serious" medical condition is one that is having/can have a significant impact on your health and life. The same is true for a "dangerous" medical condition. Neither term indicates that you have necessarily been handed a life threatening diagnosis.
Hypothyroidism is a serious issue; if unaddressed it can lead to a cascading series of health problems that can/ will impair your life. It's not going to do that within the next week or month (though you may well be experiencing symptoms from it at the present time). The same is true of when the term "dangerous" is applied to a medical situation. Your health, anyone's health, is put in danger when labs indicate an abnormal result and they are ignored.
