These studies are on children still developing. They don't translate well for adult males. That being said, there are people using DHT cream at 10% who report a size increase in their penis. Everything is anecdotal, no studies exist as to the efficacy of transdermal DHT (or testosterone) with regards to penile size increase.

The Trans community (FTM) has quite a bit of anecdotal information on this as they use it on the clitoris to promote growth and have documented, with pictures, evidence of serious growth. Does that mean it translates the same for adult men applying it to the penis? I don't know. I have seen (anecdotal) reports of size increase in males, with alleged pictures, which could be fake.

The effects of DHT cream on the clitoris are without any doubt genuine. There are multiple long-term blogs of females showing a major change in size and sensitivity of the clitoris. Testosterone, not as much.

This is a highly debatable subject as no real scientific proof exists. Some have stated that the window for DHT to have any effect on the penis ends at a certain time after puberty, but I personally have not seen anything that proves that.

Testosterone gel will not likely result in any growth, it simply isn't strong enough. It may give a good libido bump to some. I have personally experienced this.

As to DHT, the concentration needs to be higher than what was previously available. Andractim (which is now unavailable) was a 2.5% concentration. The new "standard" is 10%. This is a very hot topic in the FTM community and they share MANY pictures that would appear to validate the efficacy.

DHT is very hard to acquire anymore due to it being a less favored and "Old Dog" type of androgen. The best is now made in Germany, I would be skeptical of any Chinese products. I used to use Andractim and it does give a very good libido bump. I have recently acquired 100 grams of DHT from Germany after months of searching. I have a recipe for some home brewed, 10% DHT gel using PhloJel Ultra and a few other ingredients. I DO NOT have any sources to share however, and this is not the venue to promote that. So please, don't ask me for a source. I will however report as to the effects if anyone is interested.

EDIT: After a week, a nice libido boost and increased penile sensitivity. This is what I was after as I am an older guy and age takes its toll on sensitivity, I am happy with my current size, so that was never an issue for me. If there are any significant changes, I will report them.

@madman you are well within the boundaries of logic on this subject based on what we know thus far and proven by science. But as the researcher I know you to be, take a good long deep dive into the FTM community on this subject and report back to us on your findings.

Not the first time this topic comes up. For all we know scientifically there would be no more growth.
BUT speaking as a scientist, I would also say let's go nuts with that DHT cream if someone really needs to do this experiment. Looking forward to your results. Proper measurement is crucial. ...no pics required

There is proof that penis extender can make a penis grow to some extent. Growth is possible. Other mechanism though. Combining this with HGH and/or DHT... nice experiment.

Penile growth at any time in adulthood is absolutely possible. Length and girth. That’s been proven an infinite amount of times from guys using lengthening devices, devices that promote girth, and even jelqing works. So we know it’s possible. That’s not debatable. Those are all mechanical ways of increasing penis size tho. Would be very interesting to see if it can be increased in size, in adulthood, via a hormonal mechanism. That obv sounds way easier lol. So would love to see guys experiment with this more.

Not super optimistic about dht increasing penile size tho. Only because of the fact that if it did actually work, wouldn’t big pharma already have a propriety blend, including dht gel, that they could patent, and sell for billions? I just feel like big pharma would be all over this already, if it did actually work. Clearly any product that actually increases penile size would be a billion dollar product. The protocol I have read about for enlargement is applying it to the entire penis twice daily. I am not going to do that. I apply it once daily after my shower to the entire penis followed by vitamin E oil. There is no irritation. I don't apply it anywhere else.

You DEFINATELY want to wash it off before sex. I don't have an end game, this is something I will use as long as am getting the desired effects.

Think about the market for anabolic steroids. Clearly the demand is there, and the money is there, for these drugs to be sold on a massive scale. Why doesn't big pharma capitalize on that? Because body dysmorphia is not a legitimate medical condition. If anything, big pharma would prefer to treat your irrational desire to gain muscular size with an SSRI so you stop desiring it (and anything else for that matter).

Sounds dubious to me but we'd need clinical trials of large numbers of patients. I wouldn't volunteer for said study, unless the nurse doing the measuring was hot. With my luck, it would be a male nurse! DOH!

One thing I can attest to is this: I stopped T cyp injections a few years ago. I felt like crap, no energy, skinny. It was awful. Maybe the worst part was I got terrible Pyrone's disease. My member withered and became a useless husk, and got a weird hourglass shape, which happens with this.
So, I went back on T shots and my member returned to normal size and shape in a month or so. I was so relieved. But that was injection, not topical.
I wondered since then how many men who have Pyrones would benefit from T shots.

I also used the compounded cream on my testicles for a while, maybe 6 months total.

I've never noticed any permanent growth but I wasn't trying or thinking about it and never applied the cream directly to my penis. I did notice however much harder erections on DHT derivatives to the point my girlfriend immediately noticed and was shocked at the difference.

I don't think it has led to any permanent growth but if you want to maximize erection quality, DHT derivatives might be something to look into. It will definitely make a difference in perceived thickness.

I agree, and I think that's most likely always the case. I did see a few guys say that their dick got significantly bigger when they took steroids as teenagers during puberty, and I could believe that. Since you're still growing at that age, higher androgen levels could possibly exploit your genetic potential to a greater degree.

Some updates... Major libido bump (I found it somewhat distracting today while trying to work), facial hair and body hair are growing faster and courser, better mood!

When it comes to growth of the penis highly doubtful the diminished AR in penile tissue after puberty are highly sensitive to T or it's metabolite DHT.

What is realized depends on the influence of androgens during development. Testosterone, its metabolite Dihydrotestosterone and Growth hormone play a critical role as they contribute with 70-75% to penile development. There are three testosterone surges during development: in early fetal development, soon after birth and during puberty. In adult life, the penis will not grow when exposed to testosterone. By the way: the genetic information for penis size and girth is encoded on the x-chromosome which stems from the mother. Dr. med. Dr. phil. I have other reasons to experiment with DHT cream. I had a very positive response to scrotal cream with regard to libido and erectile function - actually the best results to date. I am not terribly concerned with increasing the size of my penis as I'm already doing pretty well in that department. I'm mostly doing this for science and for probable libido benefits. Also, this discussion around the prospect of penile enlargement has already been very entertaining and brought joy to my life.
