OK, so I have been on and off test for 5 years now. When I'm on it i feel GREAT! On two occasions I attempted to quit cold turkey.......Holy S*#T did I feel like crap, crazy anxiety, heart palpitations, insomnia, etc.... I love being up to optimal levels and would use it for life.......If I knew the long term effects anyway. I just got some test levels back and my doctor said I was looking good. But I noticed my hematocrit was borderline high, how bad is it? I normally trust my doc, but I feel like the information surronding testosterone is conflicting. My big fear now is working out with high HCT. What should I be aiming for? I love working out and while on TRT I do so 5+ days a week. But now I quit going until I can get some answers on when to slow down due to high HCT. Any input?

Your HCT and RBC's are "edging" up a bit, but nothing that should put you in panic mode. Just go donate blood and you will be able to keep this in check.

Ultimately, you need to make that call with your physician. However, I can tell you that I've been higher on HCT and the RBC's, and I've seen many much higher than yours, and they're doing just fine. Again, it's just edging towards the upper end. Donating blood is the ticket!

Also, FYI, this is coming from a guy with the hemochromatosis gene, where my ferritin levels were over 1,400, both iron serum and HCT elevated as well. Donating too frequently got me to a point where these levels got too low. So, even with donating, labs still need to be managed, and supplements/nutrients to be factored.
