Tadalafil (Cialis) minimum effective dose...

What dose have you been taking daily? What are your observations so far?

I was doing well on microdose of 1.25mg EOD for number of weeks, but then started experiencing some acid reflux which I rarely get normally.
Just filled the prescription but haven’t started yet. Had issues with increased heart when splitting a 5 mg pill so was waiting until I could find a round version of the 2.5 mg to be able to microdose down to 0.625 mg and see if that helps. Was getting good results otherwise. Nocturnal and morning wood was consistent.

Were you getting the results you expected? Did you continue to micro dose or was the acid reflex a deal breaker?

I was indeed getting good results. Not earth shattering, but consistently above average. Added benefit of noticeable decreased joint pain for some reason.

Unfortunately, the acid reflux spooked me so I stopped. I am going to give it another shot and see if the reflux was a one-off.

Have you tried staggering it to see if that makes a difference. Someone suggested this method which I’m going to try to stagger out the dosing.: (Day 1 - morning, Day 2- evening, Day 3 - skip, Day 4 - morning, etc. Another option would be just trying every other day and see if the reflex is kept in check.

You can take tadalafil with food. That might help with the acid reflux. I split 10mg in half and take half in the morning with food and half before bed.

I'm so thankful for not having any sides from Tadalafil (Cialis). I completely believe in the med for a lot of other things besides just straight helping a guy get hard. Been on a EOD maintenance dose that's not small for some years now. Don't ever plan to be off.

Are you experiencing any non-sexual benefits from daily use? What is your EOD dose?

A belated thank you to @Sergel.
Over the last several years, I would sporadically use PDE-5 inhibitor at game time and got popped by the usual side effects every time (stuffy nose, wicked headaches, hangovers, backaches, etc.). I gave low dose daily Cialis/Tadalafil a shot at 2.5mg per day, but still had same side effects.

About 2 months ago, I decided to give daily Cialis one more shot after re-reading this thread. However, this time I tried microdosing at 0.62mg per day (1/4 of 2.5mg pill). To my surprise, I started reaping the benefits without the usual Cialis hangover. Eventually I got tired of trying to quarter the pills so I moved to 1.25mg (1/2 pill) every other day (EOD) with very similar results (despite the supposed 36 hour duration of Cilalis). I try to take each dose sublingually for better absorption although this is not always easy with such a small split pill.

This 1.25mg EOD dose is laughably low for many of you. The caveat is that I am sensitive to most medications. But the results have been promising so far (jinx). While microdosing does not provide the same intense experience as a normal dose, the effect has been consistently noticeable and without the nasty sides (as of yet).

The post-script is that I am starting to also appreciate the ancillary non-sexual benefits that many attribute to daily Cialis, some of which may be placebo effect. That topic goes beyond scope of this thread, but its something to explore (along with the potential downsides of long-term use)!
I just started reading this thread. You and I are similar regarding hypersensitivity to drugs. On 2.5 and 5 mg of tadalifil, the worst side was a headache that lasted from morning until night. Also had nasal congestion, dyspepsia, and loose stool.

I might try an absolutely tiny dose, yet I'm hesitant because I don't want to feel sick all day. Have to wait for a day when I've had a restful sleep and generally feeling good, Those days are few, LOL!

interesting with that micro dose. maybe i give it a try, had all the s/x at 2.5 as well.
on the other side, despite being a booster for 'hardness' i find that it reduces sensation quite a bit. and with having 0 ED issues (age 44) there is probably not much other benefit to it. might stick to l-citruline for workouts, with little to zero s/x.

Hey guy. I just noticed you asked me this question. So we take Vitamin C cuz it's supposed to do "X", but we don't actually "feel" the good. So if one of the benefits of Tadalafil is BPH preventative, you don't know it hasn't worked until you can't pee. Of course I take Nettle Leaf, Tongkat Ali, etc. and am hoping they work synergistically to hold back BPH from happening. I can tell you for sure it on avg lowers my BP 10 or 15 points. I also believe like body builders, I think I have more stamina like on a run for exercise.

Now this one is sexual, but not ED. The whole "system" is more vital. Say more sensual. Now again, the 2 supps above, pine bark extract, HRT (T and progesterone), etc., exercise, ketogenic eating (kill the high-glycemic carbs), all these things work together. I had 2 fabulous times with my wife today and 2 yesterday. I'm like in heaven. She's 52 in Jan. I turned 70 in Sep.

I used to buy 40mg tabs and cut them in two. About a year ago I bought a supply of 60mg tabs. So about a year on 30mg EOD. The effect is more noticeable on dosing day. Again, I'm very thankful I don't experience the sides.

Wow, I found the reviews on Drugs.com ... for Cialis... Seems like many are like me, one 2.5mg the get hard for a couple of days... So I guess I am not that special! ... lol A lot of enthusiasm in those reviews... really a wonder pill, I am truly flabergasted.

You obviously have mild ED, and be thankful for that. This is a hint, from your body, you have lots of function left to salvage, and you should take this hint seriously. If you currently don't, starting eating right, exercise regularly, lose weight if needed, get your lipids under control, all things you should do to stay healthy for a long lifetime anyway. Now you have a great reason to be motivated. You don't want this to get worse, or you want to slow down the process as much as you can. Now that you know, its in your hands!

Wanted to chime in: 2.5 mg daily Cialis as a vasodilator has been helpful for my hip pain. In fact adding, L-citrulline pre-workout makes it pretty much vanish by the time I get to the gym. However chugging L-c isn't viable everyday so I am experimenting with cordyceps mushrooms which are suggested to be a vasodilator. Also, for headache the first couple of days I used coffee (caffeine), a vaso-restrictor to manage headaches while I got accustomed to "tada"-lafil. Headaches should go away.

i retried 2.5mg after having failed at 5mg due to bad s/x (sciatic flare-ups, sinusitis worse etc). at 2.5 i don't get any of those....but pretty good erections. great news
i tried to take it every other day as well
Can you elaborate on your sciatic flare-ups when taking 5mg of Cialis? I think I have been having the same issue.

been having sciatic pain on/off for quite some time (2-3 years maybe). usually, at 5mg it feels worse the next day. at 2.5 there is no difference.
i've have some (bro theories) on why that happens.
first of all (not a bro theory), i'd recommend anyone having any type of chronic pain, to read John Sarno books. not going into detail here.
my personal theory is that cialis improves blood flow to the problematic areas, which in turn causes some pain as those tissues are 'revived'.
now if you read into sarno, some of this pain can be due to psychological factors, as the brain reduces blood flow to areas on the body. that oxygen depravation causes can cause all sorts of neurological pain. it is not dangerous, but your nerves do send signals. when you take cialis it works against this process and your body 'fights it'. so in that sense the pain is a positive.
i highly recommend you look into Sarno first, it is eye opening. I have been having good success with those techniques, but still working on occasional flare-ups.
