I have been trying to find a doctor to treat low-t for over 5 years.
It ranges from 5nmol to 11nmol (reference 7.6 - 31.4)
I was living in the middle of nowhere during most of those years so I had very limited options.
4 years ago the doctor I was seeing at the time put me on dessicated thyroid hormone. (T4+T3) split daily.
I didn't notice any difference before or after.
In 2015-2016 I started feeling extremely tired all the time.
I would literally sleep for 2-3 days if I had no work scheduled.
Not feeling depressed but just completely exhausted.
2015-2016
TSH from 2.1 to 3.95
T4 Free 15.1 (reference 12 - 22 )
T3 Free 5.3 (reference 2.6 - 5.7)
I noticed after taking one of my doses of thyroid hormone it the fatigue would get a lot worse and I'd have to take a nap 1-2 hours later.
I cut the does of thyroid meds by a 1/4 until I wasn't taking any and things got a bit better.
I still sleep often for 1-2 days at a time, and fight not to nap multiple times per day.
I went for a blood test in March 2017 and my current TSH is 7.
I'm not located anywhere near the usa so most of the lab companies mentioned are not possible for me.
I tried to get a full hormone panel from a local doctor here, but I think it was lost in translation.
I ended up with only TSH, vitamin D and a bill for 70euro.
I'd be really grateful to find a doctor with some experience treating this type of situation.
I want to get my life back on track, would be happy to just be able to work 9-5pm again.
I'm located in western europe but willing to travel.
I looked into going to the hertoghe clinic but the cost is out of my price range for now. Also the waiting list is very long.
Everyday is getting more difficult. I feel if I wait too long, i'm going to end up bedridden.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Any help/suggestions are appreciated.
