So I got my lab results today
Free T-17.7
TT-797
E2-35 (roche test)
SHGB 36.1
PSA-.9

I have been having some libido issues along with a little bit of mood issues. 3 weeks ago I was great. Now, kind of in the middle. Having difficulty getting erections and maintaining. Sex drive is pretty low. My mood is so-so. I was just wondering if these labs are decent numbers. Because I honestly think my doctor has no clue what’s right on the levels or not. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

well your Dr has no clue what E test he should be running...so you told him about the sensitive test and he ignores you and/or still get's it wrong? This is a rather meaningless test...

The Roche methodology has many false prophets, so we are left with incomplete labs no closer to be able to determine what's going on.

Good quality erections would indicates estrogen is in a good range for you, so if erections are difficult to maintain, that's a clue estrogen levels aren't right for you. If we knew where estrogen is, we could advise you.

When I spoke with my doctor he said the roche test is roughly only a few points different. Sometimes it can be the same even. Not saying he is right, that’s just what I was told. Idk I am more then likely going to find another doctor. I just figured I would put these labs up here to see if anyone had an idea.

So are you saying with this test. It’s hard to tell whether my estrogen is high or low? Like and this is according to my doctor not me ‘and idk think they know a lot tbh’ he said my estrogen would be a few points lower on the sensitivity test. But is it possible with the sensitive it could be higher as well? Like I said I am looking in to seeing a new doctor, because the one I am seeing is not going well at all.

There are some doctors that are stuck in their old ways, that's always bad for the patient. The Roche methodology has been known to falsely elevated estrogen, the sensitive method doesn't have this limitation and therefore your doctor may be choosing the least expensive route at your expense.

Let's say for a moment you did have the sensitive test and it was 35, it wouldn't be the first time I've heard of men experiencing high estrogen symptoms at that number, some guys are just sensitive to estrogen.

If your instincts are telling that your doctor may be ignorant, always trust your instincts.

Well until I get the right test done. I don’t want to tank my estrogen my taking an AI. I have heard even .25 can tank it. Is DIM okay to take?

If this were the case I would lower the Test dosage slightly rather than go on an AI.

Yes it is possible for the sensitive test to be higher than the standard E2 test. It’s happened to me on a few occasions.

E2 Sensitive - 73
E2 NOT Sensitive - 59

That’s one example. But usually, the sensitive comes back a little lower than the standard E2 test. Not by much tho.

Alright sounds good, and I know it’s not the right test. But it’s getting to the point where viagra hardly keeps it up. I have pains in my chest area as well. Not like the heart. But basically to be blunt my breast muscles hurt a lot. But I didn’t think high e2 could effect libido that much. Not saying mine would be high. But I thought high would be better then low in general

Interesting and that’s only happened once?

DIM will lighten your wallet, guaranteed, but know too that DIM will not lessen your E levels. It *could* help metabolize E and lessen symptoms.

To the Roche and LC/MS/MS tests...they have no gradient equivalency. It can be said that the Sens could read ~15 points lower. Me on the other hand my Sens test runs HIGHER than Roche with the same blood sample taken on the same day. Ive seen that in a couple of guys.

Interesting, I’ve heard people say it helps their sex drive a little. Man that roche test is really a waste it sounds like

I'm trying not to say it in so many words but we preach this 100 times per day and you're not new here to be in the dark about what is right and what is wrong in regard to E testing.

You’re right I am not. I also know that most people on here are pretty straight forward. But you will have to forgive me. If I have a doctor who is preaching it doesn’t matter (which test) a part of me wants to believe him because if he is wrong about the test he is giving out to me. Well then that’s scary because I am doing hormonal replacement therapy through someone doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing. That’s a scary thought
