My TRT journey begins.

Glad its going ok so far. I have my 2nd injection tomorrow. Except for elevated anxiety on days 3-5 I feel ok. What specifically was the fish oil and dhea prescribed for?

DHEA is because my labs showed it was low, Fish oil to help with cholesterol and BP...
I just hate the fish "burps" Yuck!

My HDL is really low at 31 but I have not been able to raise it.

Quick update.

Still on 2 clicks a day. Tried 3 clicks no difference.
However i had been getting a creeping feeling of Anxiety and occasional hot flashes.
Woke me up last night with mini panic and hot flash.... and it dawned on me today....
My Estrogen is up.....

Dr. Calkins, in my initial consult , prescribed a small dose of anastrazole (.125mg) but said i could just try TRT and see if i need it.....

After having another flash/ and anxiety.... I just ordered the capsules from Empower.

Other than that I'm feeling good. Energy is up, Fog is clear.
I'm supplementing with Vitamins C, D3, Iron, 25mg daily DHEA, 5 mg liquid Tadalfil daily. Diet is going well
In the gym Daily. Recovery is better. Tiny bit of testicular shrinkage, despite my hcg.. but i've got good sized balls so... lol

Next steps. I got my Primary to prescribe a full thyroid screen, (insurance will pay) that's this week. I'm thinking that i'll add CJC-125 no dac/ Ipamorelin sometime mid September. Then my 8 week blood work and consult in early October for the "tale of the tape"

So far so good.

Sounds good. Sorry to hear about the anxiety and hot flashes. Were the hot flashes severe or just, should i say, irritating?

Well i cut out the DHEA and so far it seems to help.

Well.... Honeymoon over. Even after cutting out the DHEA the hot flashes and panic returned...
So i ordered Anastrazole @ .125 per As suggested by Dr. Calkins in my initial consult.
HOWEVER after reading Systemlords thread about his battle against high E2 and the bad reaction to anastrazole, i'm a bit spooked... So i think im going to try, 1/2 dose initially every 2-3 days and see how my body reacts and then adjust accordingly.....

This is tough... LOL

Re: low dose anastrozole, with dr Saya, I tweaked T dose downward until hemotocrit finally subsided, but ended up with high E2 symptoms despite sensitive E2 being only 35. Splitting my 0.125mg caps in half and taking 0.0625 EOD is working GREAT for me. Last lab E2 was 25. I still have some of the mildest feelings of creeping anxiety that you describe, but my previous wild emotional swings, ongoing distress and most bloating is gone. Actually seems like anastrozole dosage is the first aspect of TRT that we nailed first try.

Welcome to a new life chapter!

I will also chime in and advise caution with the AI. I took just THREE capsules of .125 over the course of week and a half and had SEVERE negative reactions.

Elevated blood pressure
Heart palpitations
And what felt like a heart attack...turns out it was a full blown panic attack.

So for me, I would do (and am doing) everything and anything to NOT take an AI.

I know you are doing cream for your T, but maybe switch to injections if things do not work as well for you on the cream.

I was able to move from taking my T every 3.5 days to M-W-F and things have improved greatly for me so far.
Will be pulling labs in a few weeks, but can already tell my E is down.

Quick update. I stopped my T treatments until I get the Anastrazole. (Hopefully today or tomorrow)
The anxiety is less but the hot flashes keep happening.
The plan is when i get the Anastrazole to start w/ 1/2 dose .063mg and then to re-start the t. First with my HCG shot then the next day with cream and see. HOPEFULLY my High e-2 symptoms w/ abate and i can get back on track.

Does that make sense?

Hot flashes are caused by low estrogen and not high estrogen, I made this mistake and kept increasing the AI until E2 was 7.8.

When do i take my blood test to get the correct numbers?

When I was on cream I always check my blood level before I applied it that day.I think that might be wrong for cream, someone will correct me. The two quacks I went to never told me about HCG or a i, I never heard of it until I found this website.

Is it possible that the hot flashing im getting is a symptom on high hematocrit and not E2?
Im getting a bit of tinnitus as well....
