Arousal is often confused with libido, arousal is stimulation of the nerves in the penis, the electricity feel good feeling in the penis.
You can have a strong libido but can’t act on it because erectile quality and arousal are subpar.
It’s very interesting how they’re so separate, but also connected at the same time. For instance, there’s times where libido isn’t really there that much, but if I get an erection, especially a full one, that will kick libido up and I’ll be a lot more turned on. And my erections can sometimes be somewhat dependent on libido. For instance, if I’m more turned on, erections will be harder, opposed to not being that turned on, and maybe erections aren’t 100%, and maybe they’ll go away faster if there’s no physical stimulation going on from either myself or another party. Opposed to being turned on/ libido being higher, erections will usually stick around longer/ take longer to go down, when not being stimulated, again by either myself or another party
Then there’s also times where I’m not even trying to be sexual, and/ or the situation isn’t sexual at all, but if something is touching the penis, it will start to get some blood flow going down there. Again, not in a sexual way. Not sure what mechanisms are going on in that example. Probably a good sign tho, as far as blood flow and penile nerves go, I would assume
Then u have penile sensitivity and how long it takes/ or how short of a time it takes, to orgasm. So when u consider all the factors that go into sexual function, for a man, it can be pretty damn complex! lol. I know women are known to be the more complicated gender, as far as sexual function goes, but damn, I don’t think we get the credit we deserve, in regards to the responsibility we have to try and make sure all these factors line up, so that we can give the other person a great sexual experience. The fact that everything ever works in unison together is pretty insane when u think about it lol
