I have been suffering from chronic prostatitis for a number of years. I recently came across a study indicating that this may be caused by low magnesium. I supplemented with Magnesium Glycinate 400mg for the past 2 weeks now. Symptoms were alleviated after the first day and completely gone after 2-3 days, and now 2 weeks later still completely symptom free. Hope this helps someone. Following is the study mentioned:
