Introduction & Test Results Opinions?

Greetings all!

A quick introduction: I am a 44 year old male who was diagnosed with hypogonadism in July of 2014. I had experienced some slight depression, but also had trouble adding noticeable muscle mass despite some strength training and a good diet. In 2005 doctors found a small tumor on my right testicle which resulted in the removal of that testicle. This may have contributed to the low testosterone. My initial Total T count in July 2014 was 237 ng/dL (250-1100) with a Free T count of 51.4 pg/mL (35-155).

I am on a weekly IM of 100 mg/ml of testosterone cypionate.

I’ve attached my August 2015 blood work which I ordered myself. I have a follow up with my physician in October and will likely have another round of tests done.

Are there any changes I can make in the meantime to balance out some of these numbers before those tests?

Tom

Welcome to Excelmale! You didn't tell us how you are feeling- are your low testosterone symptoms resolving? To lower your estradiol, if that is presenting as an issue, you could consider splitting your weekly dose and delivering 50mgs every 3.5 days. You should see nice stable levels of testosterone and bring down your E2.

Estrogen is elevated. You can ask for Physician for an aroamatase inhibitor to help lower that at .25 mg per week 24 hours after each injection.

Or, you can split your 100 mg injection into two 50 mg injection per week and that may go to lower it as well.

I'd try the later first before adding in any more drugs...but E2 needs to come down.

Don't worry about your elevated FT; it's fine.

I'll definitely consider splitting the dosage and administering every 3.5 days. I'd imagine if it works I'll see at least a slight drop in estradiol by mid-October when I have another round of labs done.

As for how I'm feeling, it's up and down. Since we're all friends here, I'll elaborate. My “depression” fluctuates. By that I mean I've been going through some rough patches in the marriage. When I'm home and around the Mrs., I tend to feel frustrated and down. Get me out of the house and I'm like a different person. So I tend to think it's not related so much to health issues, but rather my personal situation. But that's for my shrink to help me figure out :)

Just a random thought that popped into my head regarding the more frequent injections.

Should I continue with injecting into the glutes, alternating between left and right, or would I be better served on a subq protocol?
