Hcg and thyroid

No, at least not any direct effects that adverse or positive. HCG as you probably know is an analog mimic of LH, and is responsible for promoting testosterone production through leydig cells in the testes. There are other receptor sites in the body that respond to LH as well, but the most noticeable benefit is testicular stimulation when having secondary hypogonadism.

There is a correlation to hypogonadism and thyroid complications, usually hypothyroidism or subclinical hypothyroidism, which can have an impact on endogenous production of LH. If you already have hypothyroidism, and your HPTA is suppressed, HCG won't be a factor with what's needed to treat the thyroid. If you have more details about your own personal program, labs, and/or further concerns with the treatment program you are on, we can possibly provide some additional insight.

Beyond Testosterone Book by Nelson Vergel
well kind of interesting...

I recently switched back to topical T gel at 100mg per day with 150 IU of HCG everyday. I've been feeling pretty bad lately, lack of energy, fatigued, sleepy, depressed, anxious, short tempered/moody. I had been doing this protocol for the last couple of weeks.

Then yesterday,

I decided I'd go back to doing HCG injections of 500IU every three days. Well I did the first injection yesterday, and didn't have time to put on the T Gel in the morning and to my surprise I felt pretty damn good the rest of the day, so I didn't even put on my second dose of T Gel, I went completely without it the whole day.

I had read somewhere before that HCG can stimulate the adrenals by way of boosting pregnenolone and progesterone and would give a boost in cortisol, so I was thinking that maybe that could also boost TSH since progesterone tends to do this.

I've also been on 100mcg of synthroid and 20mcg of cytomel due to subclinical Hypothyroidism, but like I said I have been feeling pretty terrible. I'm also taking 25 mg of Hydrocortisone per day. My symptoms seem to be more thyroid related- waking up with puffy eyes and a swollen tongue are a couple of them.

So I'm not sure what's going on and why I felt better doing JUST the HCG, I thought maybe because it boosted my thyroid function that day. When I started TRT with my first doctor he was having me alternate the T Gel and HCG by day, but I've since realized that's not how TRT is traditionally administered, but like i said I did that yesterday and felt pretty good so I'm not really sure at this point what to do. So I'm just trying to get your guys' thoughts on the matter

I also wanted to ask you guys how I'd switch from the 100mcg/20mcg synthroid/cytomel combo to naturethroid. Chris I know you know a lot about that. I posted it in the thyroid forum but I figured I'd ask here too.
