Guess it’s time to drop the testosterone for now..... suggestions?

Been on 100mg test, 3000 iu hcg, 40 fsh 3x a week and then 75 fsh 3x a week (total of 4 months on fsh) trying to get my wife pregnant. My labs just came back and my fsh is 1.4. My dr suggested I stop my test injections. The whole reason for paying for the fsh was so I could remain on trt. I’m not sure if I should continue the fsh and hcg or now go the cheaper route of clomid only. I know it’s only been 4 months but we are wanting to conceive as soon as possible. Also, my prolactin came back just over range at 21. I don’t have the best libido. Could this be high enough to cause problems?

Total test 1037
Free test 27
SHBG 27.7
Estradiol 36.9

I believe my dr messed up and this was the standard estradiol test as I did not see “sensitive”

Standard Range 3 .0 - 17.9 ng/mL I would leave the prolactin.

These are also right around trough levels for the test. 50mg twice a week and this was day 3 prior to my second injection of the week and it was the day after my hcg and fsh injection. Trying to decide if I should completely drop test. My fsh levels are trending up considering they were .1 before

FSH has a very short half life. If he’s testing you a day or two after the injection then you won’t see much of a level. The important part is what does your semen analysis say. If he’s taking you off of TRT solely off of your FSH levels and didn’t check to see if you’re actively fertile now, I would disregard his advice, but that’s just me.

I’ve used the YO at home test. I was of course, low at first with little to no activity on the video. About two months later I retested. Still low but much more activity on the video. I’m going to retest at the end of this month.

And yes. My dr advised I drop testosterone purely on the fsh levels from the blood test. I’m JUST barely out of normal low range so I’m fairly optimistic it’s only been about 3-4 months total.

He understands that the only FSH in your blood is what you’re injecting right? Your body isn’t producing FSH on its own due to TRT. If he wants a higher level; the FSH dosage should be increased. If you want to go the route of restoring your body’s own production of it then that’s a whole other headache.
