CHICAGO — Drug manufacturers named in more than three-dozen federal lawsuits alleging cardiovascular injuries caused by testosterone therapy products have joined together to file a motion in Illinois seeking dismissal of the claims.
According to the June 4 motion, the lawsuits uniformly fail to link testosterone therapy to the plaintiffs’ alleged injuries and, where they attempt to do so, cite supporting data from three recent studies that are inapplicable, have been misinterpreted or are being deemed “nonsense” by experts in the medical community, the defendants say.
The joint motion signed by counsel for AbbVie Inc., Endo Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly and Auxillium.
