CVS Generic Cialis

My wife went to CVS to refill my Cialis, which was usually around $385 for 30 5mg pills. They gave her the refill and it rang up at $255. The pharmacist said they are now selling a 'generic' tadalafil that is made in Israel.

Has anyone else tried this 'generic' from CVS?

I just got my generic 5mg tadalafil from my pharmacy and it was a $10 copay for 30 pills. My insurance EOB says $346 was billed, $267 was paid by insurance, and my copay is $10.

My insurance will not pay for Cialis, so my out -of-pocket was just the $255.00 for the generic Tadalafil.

Low-T nation provides a generic Tadalafil that is a troche. It is compounded by Hallendale Pharmacy...I have yet to try them yet.

Are you referencing the generics from India and such? I can acquire a Tadalafil troche from Low-T Nation that is compounded by HallandalePharmacy that is dirt cheap.

Don’t waste your money. All Day Chemist has generics and they run less than $3 per pill. Anything produced by Cooper Pharma works great. Don’t be afraid to use them. I have been using them for years with no problems.

I mainly take 5mg of Cialis daily for BPH symptoms more so that ED, though BPH symptoms can cause ED-like issues at times. So, they Cialis helps there when needed.

Do you find that 5mg of the Cooper Pharma is the same as 5mg of Cialis? I read somewhere this morning that some people find they need to take a bit more of the generics, say 10mg instead of 5mg.

What is your experience? And, thanks for your response.

I think some insurances will pay for tadalafil if it is for BPH and not ED. There's not really a test for it, either you say you have the symptoms or you don't.

I’ve been on 5mg Cialis Daily for many years. My insurance covered it because it was prescribed as a BPH medication and I paid a $40 copay. Then last year our prescription plan changed and insurance wouldn’t pay because it was a non preferred brand name drug. My doctor gave me a prescription to send to a Canadian pharmacy which sent me a generic from India. This cost me $25 per month out of pocket. Then last fall the Cialis patent expired and it want generic. As a generic my insurance covers it again with a $10 copy for a one month 30 pill supply. The funny thing is that the generic brand is Prasco and it is manufactured by Eli Lilly, the maker of brand name Cialis. Apparently Eli Lilly decided to market their own generic in order to maintain sales.

However if you don’t have insurance you can get 30 5mg pills at Walmart using the GoodRx app discount coupon for about $116.

Viagra is off patent now too and you can get it for as little as $16 for 30 100mg pills with the GoodRx app

The funny thing is that the generic brand is Prasco and it is manufactured by Eli Lilly, the maker of brand name Cialis. Apparently Eli Lilly decided to market their own generic in order to maintain sales.

That might explain why my generic is yellow, egg shaped, and marked with a cursive "C5". It sure does look like cialis.

My Eli Lilly generic is a plain white round tablet. Your generic is probably trying to look like the brand name. I’m sure Eli Lilly would rather that it’s brand name customers don’t know that they make a generic.

That's a good point. I wish mine was round shaped. I just started and have been trying to take 1/2 and 3/4 pills to help with the headache and heartburn sides. The egg shaped pill is is pain to split.

I’m sorry, I made a mistake. The round white tablets I mentioned are the Indian generic. I realized I hadn’t yet opened a bottle of the Eli Lilly generic. I opened the bottle and they are in fact the exact same pill as the brand name with the same color, shape and C5 marking. My mistake. I forgot that I’m still using up my old stock of generic.

I buy 20 mg Ceebis from ADC and cut into quarters. The cut is maybe not exact, but the idea is to take it daily so you always have a low dose in your system. Cooper also has a viagra knock off called Manly which is als very good as well. If sex is planned, add a little Ceebis or Manly. If you have no medical issues you are fine. Start small and ramp up as needed.
