I'm not sure why nobody talks about this, and I could only find a study replicating these results in pigs
Anyway, a 5-7 day fast will result in a lasting increase in Ferritin due to the recycled iron in the body, no supplements, no blood donation madness, nothing, just don't eat for a week.
For a long time, I struggled to get Ferritin > 100, tried lots of supplements, lots of red meat, nothing seemed to work, I also wasn't doing too frequent blood donations, but then, for another reason, I gave a long fast a shot and noticed my Ferritin > 300 after a few days of not eating anything.
Then the next question in my mind was:
Will this increase last? Well, after +6 months more, I'm still in the 100s so, for me that works
