I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so please move if necessary. Does anyone wear blue light blocking glasses and have seen a beneficial effect on them? And if so, any recommendation on brands?

Yes if worn at night and as long as the light is not too bright you will be able to keep melatonin high while being alert in the evenings. Blue light and bright lights in general will quickly drop melationin levels!

I use a deep red shade of glasses instead of amber because it helps dim even brighter lights that will impeded sleep hormones.
check out this page it has some really good information. Which i am paraphrasing from.

I plan on getting these, but the ones I want aren't on Amazon. I'll just have to order them after vacation next week. But thanks!

Just stumbled across this thread and thought I'd jump in. I've been thinking about getting some blue light blocking glasses myself lately, especially with how much time I spend staring at screens for work and gaming.

Anyone here have any experience with brands like Vooglam Eyewear? [Link removed by moderator]. They seem to pop up a lot in my searches, but always good to hear real-life feedback before dropping some cash.

Also curious if anyone's noticed a difference with sleep quality or eye strain after using them for a while. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I've been looking for some time to get them but not sure with which ones to go as I spend a better part of the day watching screens for the last 25 years.

I work nights sometimes so the blueblockers help me sleep quickly once i get home. I suggest using redlight at night or very dim lighting at night as bright light can quickly deplete our already low melatonin levels. I also use melatonin supps when I need a good nights rest along with glycine. Ah forgetaboutit! best sleeep

"Doctor Eye Health" channel on YouTube has 1.13 million subscribers. After watching, his "Best blue light blocking glasses of 2020 - Blue light glasses buyers guide" A couple years ago I purchased the Gunnar brand he mentioned from Amazon. IMO, they are high quality glasses that have reduced the strain on my eyes. Depending on your computer monitor, there are "dark modes" and other features to "soften" the light.
