I often do the same or something similar, with or without protein. Making your own "old school " ECA (Ephedra, Caffeine, Aspirin) is sometimes a go to. Why? Because it works. However, with so many PWO options available I prefer to lean towards the ones with less stimulants.I have a cup of coffee with a scoop of choc whey protein, pure coaco, creatine, ghee butter and dash of himalaya salt. I know you coffee folks just crapped your pants, I do not like coffee at all. I eat patti of sausage with it. All about 40-45 minutes before I am pushing weights. I go to gym at 5am
