Hi guys, Im wondering if you have any proven methods to prevent or reverse skin wrinkles and loss of elasticity. Does Collagen or vitamin E really work? Specifically the abdomen area. And I am not overweight. 53 years old but noticed my skin is losing.

To be honest with you. Some guys and women just age or look older than their true age. My first wife, who died from cancer. Was only three years younger than me, but looked much younger. People would say, I robbed the cradle. I just had a friend, who retired at age 65. He can easily pass for, early 50s. It’s just the way life is, besides plastic surgery. I don’t think there’s much more than a person can do.

My present wife, who is 63. Also looks super young. A friend of mine just asked me, how come I married a woman who’s only in her 40s. Ha ha, she’s 63. Life’s not fair LOL.

Some my kids are like that too. They look a lot younger than they really are.

Hey M, I'm not aging gracefully so I went to a dermatologist with the same question. She prescribed Retin-A topical cream. It has definitely helped with the fine lines and large pores but it was irritating in the beginning. You start off maybe twice a week and the work up the frequency as you adjust. Also takes a couple months. Some people don't tolerate it well but ask and see what's out there. Ahhh, the wonders of modern chemistry......

This is what my wife uses under her eyes, it works.

Isn't PRP and stem cells used for this sort of thing? I've seen ozone used for better skin health as well. Big fan of these, haven't tried stem cells or these for skin though

Well, you can use some anti-age cream or fillers, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm a man but I like to look good and be healthy. My wife recommended me an anti-aging cream but I didn't want to use that but she convinced me that this cream is also a great moisturizer. I have been using this cream SkinXmed Anti Aging Creme Im Test - Erfahrungen & Bewertung 2021 for a year already and not even every day but it helped me a lot. It protects my skin and makes it look fresh and healthy, it perfectly moisturizes my skin and has a good consistency. Of course, to feel great and look good you have also to lead a healthy lifestyle not only to use a magic cream.

Progesterone?
These findings suggest that progesterone, like estrogen, also has beneficial effects on the skin, and may be independently protective against skin aging.

Oxytocin?
OT is likely inducing a protective function in the epidermis in the case of sun exposure and possibly with intrinsic aging.

Apologies for reviving a months-old thread, but maybe, someone is hunting for similar info. While collagen and vitamin E are often touted as helpful, it's always best to consult a dermatologist to determine the best course of action for your specific situation. If you're looking for expert advice and recommendations, you might want to consider reaching out to the specialists at Med Spa In Woodland Hills | Raw Beauty Medical Spa. They have a team of experienced professionals who can guide you towards the most effective treatments for your specific concerns. Remember, taking care of your skin is an investment in yourself, so it's worth exploring all the options!

I am 64, and do not look my age, genetics and lifestyle. But having said that you do have to take care of the skin and it is actually simple. Im noticing that crepey look in my forearms/elbow area and leg, knee/calf area. The best thing I have found and used is coconut oil. Buy a decent quality of refined, 100%, and do not be concerned about the "oil" aspect as if it is overapplied it can easily be wiped down with a towel. The visual crepey look actually disappears.
As far as the face is concerned, a daily moisturizer with a sunblock, the best go-to product, OTC, recommended by dermatologist of Oil of Olay 15SPF. From there you get into other product lines with VitC, retinols, Hyaluronic Acid that go a step further.

Hyluarnoic acid, SUN SCREEN IS A BIG ONE, collagen peptieds and retinoids there are over the counter products that work well after some months. use before bed you really can delay skin aging.

Trucker: one side of face exposed to sunlight constantly. Sun screen can attenuate the damage greatly.

Things I use/do that seem to help:

- Copper peptide topical by Restoracell
-DHEA/Vitamin E cream
- Intermittent low dose Rapamycin
- Intermittent Low dose growth hormone secretagogue (CJC-1295)
- Vitamin C cream
- Hyularonic Acid pills and topical
- Intermittent Omega-3 supplementation
- Avoid seed oils as much as possible
- Lift weights
- Do HIIT and aerobic work
- Strive to project emotional warmth and genuine friendliness through your facial expression. Good people look younger.

I made this exact cream with a few additions.

I appreciate that you included “avoid seed oils”. I completely agree.

Seed oils like canola oil, vegetable (soybean) oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, etc. are the main cause of modern disease and cancer. I am a big fan of Paul Saladino, CarnivoreMD. He’s not carnivore anymore, he has coined the “Animal-Based Diet” as an antithesis to the plant-based diet. He eats Beef Muscle Meat, Beef Organs, Fruit, Raw Dairy, Honey, and salt. They call him the natty liver king.

Anyway, he is incredibly well-read and in my opinion, has made the most comprehensive argument against the consumption of seed oils.
My understanding is that the fat that we eat in some cases becomes the fat the we store, and for women especially, the layer of fat under the skin is damaged by high seed oil content in the diet. For example, the skin tone of older women in places where seed oils are low, such as Italy, Spain and Venezuela, is spectacular compared to women of any age in high-seed oil countries. A generalization obviously, but something is causing the difference.

Also, I should have also included Glycine and Vitamin C supplementation, both of which improve connective tissue.

Yes I totally agree. This is a result of the stomach type we humans have. Mono gastric (1 stomach) mammals like humans, chickens, pigs, etc. will store seed oils in our fat tissue. Poly-gastric mammals like cows do not. Therefore, if you eat grain-fed chicken and pork, those polyunsaturated fats (seed oils) in their fat are ends up in your fat tissue. In a grain-fed cow, however, there is far far less polyunsaturated fat content in their marbling. This makes beef an incredibly safe food source, even when fed a less ideal, ancestrally inconsistent, grain-based diet. I try to buy grass fed beef when I can but it is more expensive. Grass-fed meat has an higher micronutrient content as well.

My main two sources of protein: grass-fed bison, from a local bison ranch, and wild-caught salmon - ordered from an Alaskan supplier and shipped flash-frozen. Both are expensive, but to me, a high-quality diet is one of the best things you can do for your health.
