I'm new to Trimix after surgery August 3rd, 2018 to remove prostate. Supposedly spared 60-75% nerve bundle, but neither Cialis or Viagra were giving me any erection -- zero effect.
Now 12 weeks into recovery and tried Trimix for first time two weeks ago with 15/5/.5 mixture. Needed 25-30 units out of 100 units to get decent erection that lasted anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Was using 1/2 inch syringe and now switched to 5/16 BD needle (Amazon) that is just as effective.
Doing injections anywhere between the base and midpoint. Have done both single side injection and split the dosage in half on each side, just to see what happened. Doesn't seem to matter. Injecting both at 9 and 3 o'clock position on either side & have also tried 10 and 2 o'clock position. Both have worked the same. Starts to work after 5-15 minutes. Been massaging penis the whole time to move Trimix around the full length for "even distribution".
New prescription doubled the strength (pharmacy calls it Trimix2) and is now 30/10/1 with much better results versus the lower initial dosage. Erection is fuller/harder and can last 45 minutes to 2-2 1/2 hours before it gradually winds down. Some tenderness/soreness afterwards that feels like pressure from the inside for a while after sex, but subsides.
Urologist recommended usage 3-4 times a week, but have used it with 24 hour intervals 3-4 days in a row with no ill effects so far. Dosage is down to 12-20 units out of 100 with new prescription or half of what I was given initially with the lower mix of 15/5/.5.
Have read that using Trimix can help normal erections eventually return at some point but haven't been using long enough to see any result in that arena. Still no reaction to Cialis or Viagra. Using low dosage of 5 ml per day of Cialis and 20 ml of Viagra prescribed by doc.
Have found standing up or kneeling vs lying down seems to keep the erection more firm and reliable longer. Could just be my imagination but gravity or better flow of blood while upright might be involved. The experiment continues. Being behind her/them seems to allow better control and stronger erection for longer.
Anyone using Trimix more often in a 24 hour period -- not crazy here - but say maybe twice in a 24 hour period? Know scarring can be a concern over time from injections but am guessing continued massage of the penis before/after may help alleviate some of the potential scarring of internal tissue. Anyone have input or knowledge in that area?
