Why is FSH No Longer Avaiable at Compounding Pharmacies?

I was prescribed FSH in order to help me with fertility issues due to TRT. But I was told that the compounding pharmacies used by Defy no longer supply FSH which is a problem for me because the price of compounded FSH is 1/3 of brand name FSH which is extremely expensive. Defy is being great helping me trying to find other alternatives. But my question is. Why is that? Are the big pharmas pushing against coumpound pharmacies to remove these medications from their portfolios? If so would HCG be next?

They said is no longer available Nelson. I see they still show in their website but Defy told me neither of the compounding pharmacies they work with (including Empower) carries FSH anymore

This was a surprise to me as well, but according to pharmacy contacts they have discontinued it. I suspect it is simply a case of low demand and low volume, making it a business decision. I'm going to reach out to the owner.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Just corresponded with owner of Empower Pharmacy and have GOOD NEWS. Per our discussion he stated:

"We're going to continue to make it. A new batch will be released from sterility testing in a couple weeks."

They told me

"It was discontinued due to low demand. The few guys that were on it were going to have to cease their treatments due to their inability to afford brand-name FSH, so we decided to bring it back even though we lose money on it. A new batch was just made and is scheduled to be released from testing in a couple weeks."
