Two weeks into TRT blood labs

After taking a few months break from TRT, i started a new approach on November 8, 2018. I am taking Testosterone Enanthate 25mg EOD. I did not start HCG yet because i want to see my numbers on TRT alone first.

Two weeks into therapy of 25mg Testosterone Enanthate EOD:

Total Testosterone 1291 ng / dL
Free Testosterone 21 ng / dL
Bioavailable 440.9 ng / dL
SHBG 35 nmol / L
Albumin, serum 4.6 g / dL
Estradiol 43 pg / mL
Hematocrit 50.3
Hemoglobin 17

My thoughts are to lower my dosage of testosterone from 25mg EOD to 20mg EOD. I would rather keep my free <1,000. I'm not going to worry about E2 unless it's >50 and if my hemoglobin hits 18 then i would have to give out a pint of blood (I'm still borderline).

I welcome everyone's input.

It would definitely be a better idea to just lower the dosage to get E2 in a range where you feel good rather than go the AI route.

I totally agree with you. I don't want to get into the whole take 1 medicine to counter the other thing.

The question becomes do i reduce to 20 mg or 15 mg?

When starting or switching up a protocol.....having blood work done 2 weeks in is pointless!

You should already understand that!

I think you may be referring to the fact that it takes about 4-6 weeks for your testosterone level to stabilize. I would agree though regardless, this is where I'm at 2 weeks in. I do have an opportunity to dial things in even if I am 2 weeks into my TRT Protocol.

Why tweak anything 2 weeks in when your levels are still in flux?

i believe people are getting weekly injections most of the time. So i think there is a difference with regards to how the testosterone stabilizes in your body when you look at the difference between someone who injects every 7-10 days vs EOD.

2 weeks into having just only received 2 injections is one thing vs 2 weeks into treatment having already received 7-8 shots is another thing.

Unfortunately it does not work that way due to using esterified testosterone.....regardless of ones injection frequency it takes 4-6 weeks for levels to stabilize.

If anything you should have waited 4 weeks if you are so eager!

Well, the good thing is that i was going to get a test regardless in 4 weeks. So at least we have a sneak peak at where I'm in 2 weeks early!

I do however feel that i may knock my dosage down to 20 mg..

You really don't understand this. You would be well served to read much more and post much less. If you're not going to listen to the outstanding posts from madman there's not much in this for you here.

Who says i'm not listening? He's right. It takes levels at least 4 weeks to stabilize. I'm sharing results 2 weeks in. I will also have bloodwork done 1 month in.

Do understand that regardless of ones injection protocol whether one is starting trt or tweaking their current protocol even though it takes 4-6 weeks for levels to stabilize it may very well take 2-3 months on the new protocol (injection frequency/dose) to truly gauge how it one feels as the body needs time to adjust to the new levels.

There are many that expect drastic changes at 6 weeks once levels have stabilized and if things do not turn out the way they though regarding positive benefits related to energy/mood/libido/erectile function they end up overreacting to the negative experience and change the protocol again too soon.....as in every 6-8 weeks without giving the body time (2-3 months) to adapt to those new levels let alone gauge how it truly effected their energy/mood/libido/erectile function.

Personally when I change my trt protocol, I prefer to wait at least 12 weeks. For whatever reason it's always takes me about 12 weeks to feel the difference in a new protocol. So I like to make adjustments not just by Labs but also by how I feel.
