TRT Sub Q injections, now no more Anastrozole!

When I started TRT is was at 152 total T. I was prescribed 200mg per week and out off all the blood tests I've done I've never been over 1000 TT. My last 3 tests have shown me at <6,<6, and 7 for my estrogen levels. If you tank your E to 0 how long does it take to come back up???

You tanked your estradiol (but you know that).

Kidneys and hematocrit are great. Liver enzymes a little elevated but that could be from working out and/or high protein intake. I would at least take some NAC.

Testosterone is good but I do not see free T.

By the way, www.discountedlabs.com is cheaper than Private MD (for next time )

Thanks for the reply Nelson. My last 2 blood tests showed <6 so im guessing 0. Since I tanked my E, how long does it take for it to come back to more normal range?? its been 5 weeks that I've been off of Anastrzole. My understanding is more freq injections and subq all lessen the conversion of T to E. If it takes 8-10 weeks for E to come back up then Im not too concerned. Last full blood work showed my free t at 49.7...I feel good, no symptoms of low e.. I have great morning wood, sex drive is fine, no weird moods..

The longer that I have been doing the sub q injections it seems my E has constantly been going down to where I am at now. Ive never really needed a large dose of Anastrozole. Never more than .25mg EOD even when I did IM injections.

Ok, just did another blood test and got my results in. Been one month since my last test. Total T 1247 and E <6.... that's 300 higher than my last test and I have not changed my routine. Still doing 60mg EOD which averages out to 210 per week. Never been over 934 in the 2 years ive been on TRT. Took my blood test just prior to my next injection. I cant figure out why my E is so low. I have not taken Anastrozole in 3 months. Any suggestions??? E was always in the high teens and low 20's when doing IM leg injections twice per week and taking .25mg of Anasrozole EOD. This is my 4th blood test that shows Low E. Can it be the eod injections and subq?

At the higher test level do you feel better or do you think b/c the E being low you feel the same?

I feel the same. Sex drive is not all that great last couple months. Guess that might be from low E. I just can't figure out how it's 300 points higher than my last test using same protocol. Baffled on the Low E as well. Might go back to every 3 1/2 day injections of 90mg IM in the leg with the 27g insulin needles and retest again next month..

with EOD, like I do about 50-55mg, that's how I got off Anastrozole entirely but my E is by the standard test still in the 43 range and I have no high E symptoms either. Remember the larger the dose the more that is excess and is suceptible to the aromatase enzyme. It seems that everyone that goes smaller and more frequent is able to either get off entirely or go very low dose AI. Your E2 is curiously low and being supported by multiple tests is a curiosity. Some men do indeed experience differing E levels with IM and SubQ. You'll have to decide what you want to do, I might suggest you stay the same doses but go back IM (or shallow IM) and by doing that you'll limit the variable by only changing one thing. I think if you switch to IM, change your dose, change your frequency, you're introducing too many variables at one-time.

I am hearing more from guys who tank their estradiol and they get frustrated at how slowly it comes back up to normal after stopping anastrozole. Some try DHEA and/ or hCG to improve their E2.

I predict that the estradiol demonization we have seen on the Internet in the last few years will start shifting as more data comes in to prove that estradiol is an enhancer of testosterone's effects just as DHT is. Of course, excess is never good. The main problem is that not a single study has determined what excess means in men with high testosterone on TRT.

Im a true believer in Nelson's T:E ratio and that there's not a sweet spot for E2 and that there is not a number that is too high. Also, believe in only treating symptoms of E2 and never treating a number on a test. It's made a huge difference for me.

Ratio? My last blood was total T 980 Sensitive E 17. Is this a good ratio? Muscles feel good and workouts great but libido has dropped off a lot

The ratio theory (T divided by E) states a ration of 14-20 could be a target. Yours is 57.6....but as with everything, if you like those numbers and feel good, there's no reason to change. In the ratio theory, your E needs to rise significantly to over 40 assuming your Total T remains at 980.

ah! that makes sense, I was wondering why sex drive sux now...I take Armidex .5 3x week. I will take a few weeks off and see how I feel. I need to call Defy anyways b/c Armidex is tearing up my stomach and intestines. Major cramping...need an alternative. I know in past when using AAS I used 1 cc of tamaxofin and felt amazing sex drive.

This might be a dumb question but is there any way testosterone shuts down men's production of estrogen? Or what Coukd cause 3 months of low e?!

Testosterone is aromatized into estradiol in men. As night follows day, estrogen should follow testosterone.

Ok, I'm at a loss on what to do here. Just did another lab test and got my results. Total t 1032 and estrogen <6. This is my 5th month in a row of e at less than 6. I haven't taken a anastrozole in 5 months and for the past month I've been doing 80mg e3d Im shots in the hip with 27g 1/2 inch syringe. What the hell is up with my low E??? I feel good just my sex drive sucks..

I just wonder if you've got another underlying medical problem there with repeated low E tests. I know the first test results you posted, that long string up there of results, the E test you had was the wrong methodology where it reads "Roche ECLIA", you should be getting tests with the LC/MS/MS methodology, typically labelled as sensitive or ultrasensitive. Although it may be moot as the sensitive assay typically reads LOWER than ROCHE.
