So in preparation of turning 48. I decided to transition from my sports trt dose 220 or what ever was in small vile. To 180 mg week in three even doses. Decided I didn’t need my metabolism ramped up any more. With a week or so started to sleep poorly wake up early and can’t go back to sleep and always tired. Motivtion is down. How long does the withdrawal last?

The only ever time this happened is when I ended a mini cycle early (340mg a week). And dropped to 180. Couldn’t take the same withdrawl symptoms and went back up to 220 and felt better quite quickly

How long with this last. How long till I feel normal. My levels are still slightly above normal even at 180mg. Divided in the 3 doses

Whether one is increasing or decreasing dose of T it will take 4-6 weeks for blood levels to stabilize (TC/TE).

When decreasing dose it is common during this transition for one to experience ups/downs as the body is trying to adjust to the declining hormones.

Be prepared for a bumpy ride especially if you make a drastic reduction in dose.

Doubtful your ride will be harsh as you are going from a dose 20 mg higher than the top-end therapeutic dose of 200 mg T/week which the majority would never need to achieve a high let alone very high trough FT ---> 180 mg T/week which is still a fairly high dose and would most likely still have your trough FT high!

Even then after you hit the 6 week mark and blood levels have stabilized it will still take time (a few more months) for your body to adapt to its new set-point.

Need to give the new protocol at least 12 weeks before jumping to any conclusions.

This is the critical time period that one needs to invest in order to gauge how they truly feel regarding relief/improvement of low-t symptoms/overall well-being.

As I have stated numerous times on the forum it is much easier going up than coming down!

Not sure what you were trying to achieve here going 20 mg above the top-end therapeutic dose of 200 as the extra 20 mg T would have a minimal impact on muscle/strength gains.

The true anabolic properties of T start to shine when abusing doses in the 300-600 mg/week range.
