I’ve been on TRT for 2 1/2 years. About a month ago I finally returned to the gym. In preparation for that I increased my weekly dosage from 0.5ml to 1ml. (My initial dose when starting TRT was 300mg/wk).
My question is pretty simple. I do 45-50 minutes of reasonably intense cardio in addition to strength training. But starting back totally out of shape hasn’t seemed to matter. Even though my heart rate increases to a good cardio level (140s) I’m not fatigued. In fact, I feel like the only reason I do 45-50 minutes is because I just stop. And this is pretty much a daily routine. But despite such aggressive work outs I’m not losing weight only gaining. Muscle tone is increasing at a noticeable rate. It’s not 5 or 10 pounds a week but I can definitely see the difference.
Is this normal? Up till now I haven’t been focused on the gym. I have been diagnosed with low test by my urologist.
