TRT and Bad Experience w/Hair Loss -- ADVICE NEEDED

Thyroid: TSH=1.91
T4=5.6
T3=3.5
Anti-thyroid Peroxidase Antibody <10
Iron Panel: did not have that done
Cortisol: not done either

How soon did I notice hair loss after starting TRT? My doc upped me to 120mg 2x/week on 2.22.17. I noticed the hair loss starting around March 14th. He dropped me back down to 80mg 2x/week as of 4.15.17. But my hair has become really thin and my hands and face are covered after showering and/or sleeping.

It sounds as if telogen effluvium may be what's driving this. It's certainly reasonable to investigate the possibility.

Just had an epiphany today. Could Metformin cause hair loss? My doc put me on 500 mg 2xs/day since Feb -- told me it would help keep my telemeres in good health. Any thoughts?
