Cortisol range was 6.0-18.4
Estradiol range was 11.0-43.0

Based on the reference range, it would appear you did not have have estradiol sensitive (LC, MS/MS) lab test run. Be sure your doctor order the sensitive/ultra-sensitive test in the future. The standard test was designed for women and is unreliable when used by men. Depending on how thing unfold, it may well be wise to run a four-tube salivary cortisol test.
