SHBG Keeps Dropping

When I started trt my SHBG was 51 on a range of 19.3-76.4. My trough T has settled around 850-900 with a free T of 28-33. One peculiar thing is while my T has stabilized at a consistent place, SHBG keeps dropping. My last 3 labs were 37, 32, now 28. While trough total T was 876, 842, 883. Any ideas why SHBG would continue to drop when T is stable? I always have heard SHBG will find its place and you will need to adjust and play it where it lands. Seems even after a couple of years mine is still finding its landing spot. I did daily injections that just didn’t work for me and am concerned my SHBG is headed for a place that I will be required to go back to daily to keep the full benefits of trt.

Those numbers are the same. Blood testing has variations during the day and SHBG depends on insulin, food intake, etc

Trying to manage SHBG is a losing game.

I totally agree with Nelson, I think that little swing is probably stastically not much to look at and in the end is likely to not have changed the hormonal landscape is some appreciable way to help, or harm, your TRT.
