Even with as much celebrity and wealth one accumulates during a successful career, one isn't immune to becoming yet another victim of poor lifestyle and dietary choices, PED and other drug abuse and substandard medical management. Plaque burden can be easily tracked and treated given the right diagnostics done early enough (i.e. CAC score). Also, familial atherogenic predispositions such as elevated Lp(a), etc. should be routine. Genetics load the gun, lifestyle pulls the trigger. Very sad. He was too young to go @ 76.

I saw him at a Raiders game in January. He pushed the button to light the flame before the game as a former raiders player.

My wife makes me get those lifeline tests at a church basement every couple of years where they check that stuff.
