It's going to take longer than 12 weeks, 6 months minimum. I read somewhere it can take 6 months to start to see changes in erections. I'm at 17 weeks and still waiting for significant changes, already some changes happening.

You're overdosing on Anastrozole, 1mg twice per week is far too much...why are you taking that much AI? Most certainly your Estrogen is tanked on that much AI.

The anastrozole is what was prescribed by the doctor

Why? "just because"? Divulge some details and lab reports if you want help here...if you're Dr has kept you in the dark on this specific thing, you need a new Dr because that is a horribly high dose and tanked Estrogen is the most likely culprit in your stated problem.

Unless you had extremely high e2 along with symptoms pre-trt than it is a shame that your doctor would immediately throw an aromatase inhibitor in the mix let alone prescribing 2mg/week especially when you are just starting out on trt. It is much better to exclude the ai so one can see how they react to testosterone and the effects it has on their overall blood work especially e2 as a lot of people do not always need one. After 6 weeks when your testosterone levels have stabilized one will know from blood work how that specific dose has affected your e2. Seems very irresponsible that a lot of doctors do this.

He is basically telling you everything else is ok and his erections are good as some going into trt have no ed issues just other low t symptoms.................he is complaining of loss of sensitivity. Erection function/quality definitely takes time but everyone reacts differently as some notice improvements quickly and others it takes much longer and than do not forget that there are a lot who will not see much improvement in erection function/quality due to underlying poor vascular/endothelial function and in those cases they will need the addition of a pde-5 inhibitor (Cialis/Viagra/Levitra) to see improvements in ed as testosterone is definitely critical to the function/health of erectile tissue but it is not a guarantee to fix ed in everyone.

That's true, but in my initial TRT consultation, my doctor prescribed 200mg of testosterone very two weeks - and he held an endowned chair at a major medical school. His prescription would have been a ticket to failure.

Every day here at EM we read of members who have been told to do something that will prevent them from TRT success. Two milligrams of anastrozole every week is an excellent plan...if you're a woman recovering from breast cancer. In men, it's a protocol element that will knock your estradiol into the basement.

What was your pre-treatment e2?

I would agree you should always double check in any doctors regiments. Having been in pharmaceutical sales for 22 years. There's a lot of doctors I wouldn't let treat my dog. As for PDE5's. having sold them for 10 years. Most people knowledge on the subject is pretty spot on

when I take too much anastrozole and E2 gets rather low, I experience the same thing. Erection will be rock solid, it will feel as if I will reach orgasm at any moment but it never comes (pardon the pun).

I still have really great orgasms, I can cum in a few minutes if short of time or last a lot longer for good love making. I never in over 2 1/2 years of TRT used an AI.

If your here in the US, and you can afford it (not a lot but everyone's finances are different) order an E2 sensitive and Testosterone labs from DISCOUNTEDLABS.COM for around $82.00. E2 by itself is about $31.00. Quick and easy if you have a labcorp blood draw office near you. Results back to you directly in a few days..... THEN you can see if you (your DR) hosed your E2 and it is tanked.... ALSO GET NELSON'S BOOK IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY..... As others have said 2mg/week seems a bit over the top.

I agree about the 2 mg/week may be to high. I had questions about T-Cyp 100 mg vs T-Cyp 200 mg. I posted about this recently.

If you get T-Cyp check the vial for strength. Doctors can dose you at 1 ml of T-C 200 mg when they meant to dose a new patient at 100 mg of T-Cyp & the patient could misunderstand.

My meaning is T-Cyp 100 mg maybe dosed at 1 ml which equals 100 mg of T-Cyp. If you get T-Cyp 200 mg and you do 1 ml you will get a dose of 200 mg. Clearly a huge difference.
