Possible side effects of TRT?

Hello,

I noticed that only after some months of TRT my penis become less sensitive than it was before. I don´t know if I am imagining things but I also feel that I am also a bit less sensitive to some medicine than before.
Can this be a side effect of TRT? Somebody has similar experience? What can be done?

Hey Tommy - I had the same experience. My penis was less sensitive when having sex after starting TRT. I didn't notice any more/less sensitivity to other meds.

Sorry to admit but in order to have a restful sleep I take a Xanax each Sunday nights just sleep better and it really has been making wonders but it has kind of less effect on me now. I feel that I´m even more resistant normal pain killers like aspirin for headache.
Maybe TRT makes one both stronger/resistant? I don´t know…..

You can easily develop a tolerance to Xanax, or any benzodiazepine. It has nothing to do with TRT and everything to do with constant exposure to the drug. What is your TRT protocol and most recent labwork? The more you post, the more feedback you will receive.

Thanks for answering.
My protocol is 80mg divided in 2 injections per week. Normal multivitamins etc.. and 25mg of DHEA (thinking to adding also 25mg of pregnenolone).
Stopped HCG 3 weeks ago since I think I didn´t benefit from it. (250 IU 2 x week). I felt like it just made my face bloating.
My last labs (6 month ago) were more or less OK and no problem with high E2. I only had problems with high E2 when I was on the old school protocol 250mg every third week. I tried with Anastrozole but it just tanked my E2 even with low dosage.
CoastWatcher you might be right about that I might have built up some tolerance of bensos though I take it only once a week and only 0,5mg.
However I have no doubt what so ever that I lost a lot of sensitiveness in my penis. I don´t know if my HCG dose was too low or what I should I consider to improve this situation. It is not fun to have to stroke the guy like crazy in order to come lol. Any suggestions?
It much be more folks out there that have the similar experience,,,
By the way if it wasn´t for this forum I would still be on the “ old school” TRT protocol and probably be feeling crap by now.

Well, that's not a terribly high dose, nor are you taking it on a daily basis. I know I worried about a benzo dependency some years ago and my doctor and I pulled me off it.

If it wasn't for the Forum a lot of us would be out in the cold wondering why TRT wasn't working.

so what's the thing with losing sensitivity? is it too high E2 that's causing it? i know my E2 is fine. i've been mildly experiencing same thing since i started trt even though libido is through the roof! current protocol sustanon 125mg weekly split to 2 IM injections along with 250iu hcg 2xweek.

Good question! I am sure someone in this forum could contribute to this question. Normally the libido goes through the roof with TRT but it can also turn into a fake natural state. I am almost 54 years now and wouldn´t mind to have less libido without giving up TRT- lol

Not everybody has good libido on TRT - I have worse libido now than when I had low T (And yes, I am dialed in with HCG, E2 levels, free T, etc) so I totally get the loss of sensitivity issues. I don't have an answer, but I know it is a real issue for some folks.
