I find that once my spouse is taken care of, if I take a 10 to 15 min break for a cold drink, then hit it hard again, that will normally do it for me. Otherwise, I've went for hrs, but not completing myself

2 other tricks I have learned
1. Don't eat for 4 to 6 hrs before intimacy. If erection persists an hr or two after, eat a sandwich while applying gentle pressure. Blood will divert to stomach for digestion purposes.
2. Fill 10 needles at a time. Freeze needles along with bottle. To thaw,, hold needle under tongue like thermometer. Ready in 8 -10 min

I hear you Virginian. Thank you and others for your thoughtful comments. While I'm certain I'll get to your situation (if I'm not there already, and I am 16 years younger than you), I do think oral meds would be preferable to injections (convenience, more natural, easier to climax). I never had problems using meds with my wife, but since my divorce a year ago I have been hit or miss with meds dating, which could be for a number of reasons. The "Men's Clinic" strongly pushed the injections, and it certainly makes a better first impression with the ladies using them. Once settled in a relationship I would like to go back to oral meds if I could.

My question would be is it difficult to do this once a man starts using Trimix? Does anyone out there use both depending on the situation, and has no trouble going back and forth?

I have been using Trimix, and others for about 6 months now. I have gone up and down the dosing, with my urologists approval, carefully I might add to avoid risk of priapism. My goal was to see if I could keep a useable erection prone, that is flat on my back. This is mostly for my wife's enjoyment. However, after going thru vials of trimix, super trimix, and quad mix, while they all produced amazing erections, and longer as the dose went up, with or without using a penis pump (want to impress your newly found lady friends since you are divorced? use a penis pump, then inject....You will have the biggest erection they have ever seen. You can see by the look in their eyes lol!) But, in every case with each med, the orgasm issue you have is there for me as well. I don't understand why, but noticed with the higher doses I used, as the drug began to wear off, and the erection started to fade just a little, it became easier to reach orgasm. So, now, I plan accordingly, have sex accordingly, take a brief rest or break and unless its late at night, come back to it 20 minutes or half hour later and usually, it works out wonderfully. I can tell you, I have read the prostaglandins are known for causing pain in some men, as they are listed in the side effects for products like caverject or Muse which are basically just alprostadil. It is though to be the most potent of the prostaglandins. However, in your case the lidocaine may well be slowing down or stopping things from progressing as you are in essence giving the entire muscle a coating in lidocaine and numbing it. One would assume the nerves would get numbed too, and that would stop orgasm in its tracks.

I used Trimix a few times,but although I didn't have to go to the ER the long lasting errections were a concern. I'm 72 and have pretty good erretions without anything. I'm sure a hot milk would improve everything. I did have a TURP procedure done over 20 years ago causing retrograde ejaculated. Yesterday I took a 5mg cialis and although I was able to satisfy the GF I couldn't orgasem my life deepened on it. Finally gave up.

Some great advice and personal experiences here. My two cents on some of the questions that have come up, after over 2 years of using Trimix:

1. Needing more Trimix. I have found I need less, not more, Trimix over time. I believe that's due to getting over performance anxiety, which caused the need for Trimix in the first place: I would get a rock-hard erection fooling around on the couch that failed me in the bedroom.

2. Hiding Trimix. My girlfriend of nearly 3 years still doesn't know I use Trimix. I just make a discreet trip to the bathroom, where I have a syringe loaded in one of those chilled travel packs. I did once tell her I had discovered an injectable "peptide" that helped with my performance - but then she said she wanted to try it too. ;-)

3. Trimix plus pills. Like another poster, I've found that combining a very low dose of Trimix with a PDE5 inhibitor like Cialis is ideal, because the erection will subside faster afterwards. You have to be very careful about this, however, because the standard advice is NEVER combine the two or you risk priapism.

I started to experiment with a smaller dose, achieved the desired results and was able to climax.

It makes it hard to cum because it simply does not feel as good as a natural erection. When you stay hard for too long without going soft it starts to hurt and becomes nearly impossible to cum. At least you can impress the hell out of your partner.

Having some Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) pills always at hand is a good trick. It kills the erection within an hour. I would take 4-8 60mg pills. Ideally you would not have any food in your stomach so it works fast. Better than injecting your dick again with an antidote. Some physical activity like pushups helps to get rid of a boner faster too.

1. Would taking Trimix make me dependent on it for an erection. i.e. Could I stop, go back to Cialis and have that work the same.

2. Can I continue with low dose Cialis and then take a bit less Trimix? How does that work?

3. Other thoughts on lasting longer? Some positions (doggy-style being one) are very stimulatory for me. If I have her in that position, I can only go for a couple of minutes before having to take a break or switch positions.

Question regarding the antidote - Phenyleprine - does it absolutely have to be injected directly into the penis? Could it be injected sub-Q into the stomach? I have never had to use the phenyleprine but if / when I do - I would much prefer sub-Q rather than the recommended alternative. Thoughts?

I was talking about oral pseudoephedrine as that's the only thing available to me and has worked fine. I assume injectable phenylephrine would go systemic and work no matter where you inject it. You may need to adjust the dosage though. I wouldn't take chances if it was an emergency and every minute counts.

Commenting on Ozzieville above, performance anxiety may eventually drive me to try Trimix at some point. Boy it SUCKS when it rears its ugly head. Sweaty palms, red cheeks, bye bye erection. Pretty healthy EQ most of the time, but when I get in a PA rut it is hard to spin out of it. Fortunately I have a patient wife who enjoys the other things I do to her.

Golfboy, I agree that performance anxiety is a vicious circle. I was stuck in a rut with a new girlfriend (who is not only gorgeous but loves sex) where I would be hard as a rock on the couch, but as soon as she said, "Let's go to the bedroom," I would lose it. Amazing that the mind could trump the physical response so quickly.

Trimix changed all that. It's true I'm relying on Trimix as a crutch, but it's a very effective crutch.

Tried Dapoxetine yesterday. The key seems to be to take it 2 hours or more before needed. 5 hours later, it was working, even early AM the next day.
