No libido, unable to orgasm

So I've been off testosterone for four months. Didn't do much of a PCT. Tried clomid briefly - it was awful, tried a few test booster and "pct" supplements - who really knows if they work or not. I'm not feeling awful but I am feeling sub-par. Still trying to work out at least 5 times a week (weights and cardio - spin bike). My biggest concern is my libido. Honestly I think I could walk on to a porn set with the hottest stars in the industry and be like "meh"...grab a coffee and watch Matlock re-runs...Recently I've been having issues with orgasm. Takes forever if it happens at all. I never had this issue prior to the testosterone. Just wondering if it will fix itself with time as my hormones return to baseline. For any wondering why I stopped testosterone...I am 54, fit, lean. I started self dosing testosterone after a "low normal blood work value". I was injecting 75-100mg test cyp weekly. I only did this for a few months, off and on over the course of 2 and a half years or so. I was never on any more than 2 or 3 months. The initial feeling was amazing (each time) but eventually I started feeling worse than before I started so I decided to stop. Anyway just seeking advice. I know I'll need bloodwork to get a solid idea of what might be wrong, but just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

Elevated estradiol or low estradiol. Yes, contradictory, but high and low E2 could present with similar symptoms. Hypothyroid, primary or secondary(related to hypothalamus/pituitary). There are documented cases where 2 to 5 years of continuous treatment brought about positive response. Without posting bloodwork, none of us know what, if any, problems might exist. If your lipid panel is elevated, that could point to the thyroid, for example. No 'one size fits all' answers to your query.

Yes, there are men who self-treat because they don't have insurance or cash or can't find a doctor who is experienced in TRT. Some are successful in self-treating and some of those men eventually find a doctor to work with. It's good to work with someone knowledgeable who has your back.

Just wanted to piggy-back on this, because it's good advice. I'm under physician-monitored TRT and after several years of treatment and my levels being dialed in, as well as learning about the kinds of necessary bloodwork and what to watch for, I feel like if I had to, I could manage my own TRT at this point. Absent something crazy happening I have no plans to do so, but I'm confident I could if I had to. But it took almost a year to get my dosages dialed in and even longer to become comfortably knowledgeable about this stuff.

Also, there are always going to be risks self-treating with UGL products, both from a quality perspective and a legal perspective, if you're in a jurisdiction where testosterone and other products are controlled substances. Those risks can be minimized in certain ways, but not eliminated, and you're always going to be safer doing this above board if you can afford to do so.

If you're financially able to do it, I really suggest working with a knowledgeable physician to figure out what's going on.

It's also possible you have elevated prolactin. I did, and while it didn't really affect my libido, it made it damn near impossible to orgasm. A low dose of cabergoline took care of that. Probably worth getting your prolactin checked.
Yes. Thanks. Sorry for my omission of that possibility.

I am wondering if I have a prolactin issue as well. If I may ask, how high was your level? How quickly did the cabergoline work for you? My last lab had mine at 13.4 with lab range 2.0 to 18.0 which doesn't seem high, yet I have tremendous amount of pleasure during any sexual activity, but can't seem to get across the "goal line" except rarely.

Before starting caber, mine was at 26.3 (4.0-15.2). Caber starting working pretty quickly, and brought my prolactin down to around 5.0 on a dose of 0.125 twice weekly.

Also, still maybe worth talking to your doctor if everything else, especially e2, is in a good place. I may be misremembering, but I think I recall Dr. Saya saying that prolactin levels in the double digits can cause issues in some men even if technically “in range.”

Sounds like you need to just not use anything for a few weeks. Get bloods done and see a specialist. Many of people can self medicate trt and get it right
You sound like you been cycling and it’s destroyed you.

Get bloods done and post back here. If you can’t afford or find someone to prescribe trt for you I know you can get help with reading bloods here.

I went on my own for two years and have been fine. Back on a script now as I was planning on travelling
