Need to re-order needles, advice please

So i need to re-order needles for my husband, we currently do injections twice weekly (per this forums advice, we were doing 3x weekly but his SHBG tends to run higher..he's 71, has non alcoholic liver cirrhosis, etc.) so we dropped to twice weekly which he's doing fine on and i've been drawing with a 22G needle and swapping out to a 25G for injecting IM (he's not interested in SubQ) is this the correct way to do it? Reason why we swap out is because i tried drawing/injecting w/the same needle (25G) and it really hurt him probably because it dulled the needle.
Should i go w/insulin needles? Advice? Also best place to buy?

Thanks,
Susie

Forget the 25 gauge.

Switch over to a fixed insulin syringe (low dead space).

Use the 27 gauge 1/2" (12.7mm) as they are easy to load and are great for injecting IM.

You could even use the 28-29 gauge 1/2"(12.7mm).

Minimal waste of medication let alone you draw/inject using the same needle and no worries regarding dulling the needle.

Purchase box 100 from here as they are dirt cheap $11.24

I buy insulin syringes at Walgreen's. They make you show ID and sign a log stating what you are using them for. They are 5/16 x 30/31 ga. Barely even feel them.
