Natural LH levels in question?

I just learnt that one should use HCG once in three weeks so that your LH levels produced by your body are good and body doesn't stop producing, but my doc prescribed 350 IU twice per week (700 IU total). My LH was 5.6 before starting on the injections....Will that stop producing my own LH?

Your LH is 5.6 .. Why on earth would anyone suggest you administer HCG??!! The primary purpose of HCG is to provide the LH analog, WHEN the pituitary is unable to produce sufficient amounts (or any amount) of this hormone. I have no idea why anyone would suggest you do this? Why would any doctor prescribe this protocol, based on seeing an LH value at 5.6?? What am I missing?

It is also meaningful to run testosterone serum labs when measuring endogenous LH. Do you know your total test serum values (and possible free/bio test?)?

Chris,

Do you need to see my Testorone levels?
I was told by my doctor that hcg will not let my testes shrink and sperm count will remian..... But won't the LH just vanish if I am on Test Cyp only for a while?

Yeah, would like to see at least your total serum lab. Yes, LH will "vanish", call it suppression of the HPTA if you're on Test Cyp, but that's the point, you shouldn't have to take HCG, because technically your testosterone serum should be fairly decent with that LH score you posted. If your testosterone serum in quite low, then other factors might be in play, which could push the diagnosis to primary hypo, which then again, HCG wouldn't benefit your endogenous production if your diagnosis is primary.
