My Dhea levels

So finally got my Dhea levels back

Now I was only taken Dhea 25 mg a week before taken this blood test

So guessing my levels would have been lower than this ?

Carry on taken 25mg Dhea or move it upto 50 mg a day ?

Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish, and how do you feel?

Also, was that a typo in your post? Did you mean 25 mg/day? Because you said 25/week. DHEA is generally taken daily due to half/life(though there is a large discrepancy between DHEA and DHEA-S). And even if you are taking 25mg/day, I don’t think doubling that would be the best approach. If you do want to raise levels further, maybe go to 37 mg/day(so 1.5 of your current pills). But again, would need more insight into your reasoning for wanting to get your levels up to the top of the range.

So sorry meant

To say only been on the 25mg daily dose for a week before bloods

Well been researching only Dhea levels going low when on long term trt abd with age

So wanted to try it out and get bloods to see if would help with mood , anxiety and sex drive etc

Just on my trt dose never really felt great

Heard people saying when brining in Dhea and preg it helped so so much

Would like to feel good with what time I have left on this world

Gotcha. Yeah I’d say a week is probably good enough to get close to stead state due to the short half life of DHEA. And it does help with lots of functions in the body, but from my understanding it’s more of a behind-the-scenes operator so the effects of it aren’t as noticeable as far as symptoms are concerned, particularly with the symptoms you mention.

Are there other aspects of your lifestyle that could be cleaned up? How is your diet, exercise routine, sleep schedule, and stress levels? How much time do you spend outdoors? Any vices like drinking, smoking, porn, etc. that could be detrimental to well-being? Lots of things worth looking into besides just DHEA levels, particularly when you’ve already taken them from what we may imagine would’ve been the bottom of the range and got them securely into the midrange area with no symptom resolution…though I would say that one week, while good enough to give an idea of where your levels will be in current dose, is way too early to experience the benefits you may get from maintaining this level over a long period of time.

So stay at the 25mg dose daily ?

Diet and fitness is good
Don’t really drink
I would say I’m but of a stress head

I did post a full blood panel in another thread

And my e2 levels and prolactin levels come back a tad high

So guessing that might not help …
