Shaun, tell us about your journey into this field. What led you to start Empower Pharmacy?
Shaun:
Sixteen years ago, I was diagnosed with low testosterone at age 25. My doctor sent me to a compounding pharmacy for treatment, and the experience changed my life. Inspired by that, I became a licensed pharmacy technician and started Empower Pharmacy to deliver high-quality, affordable medications with excellent service.
Using my engineering background, I introduced manufacturing efficiencies that helped Empower grow into one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the U.S. We’re now an FDA-registered outsourcing facility, supplying medications to patients, providers, and institutions.

1. Intracavernosal Injections (ICIs)​

• Bimix: Combines papaverine and phentolamine to relax muscles and increase blood flow. It’s effective but can cause priapism (erections lasting over 4 hours). Providers test dosages in-office to ensure safety.
• Trimix: Adds prostaglandin to Bimix for stronger effects. It’s the first-line injectable for ED.
• Quadmix: Includes atropine sulfate for patients who don’t respond to Trimix.

Note: Always follow medical guidance. Start with the lowest dose and escalate under supervision to avoid priapism.

• Sildenafil (Viagra): Available as traditional tablets or fast-dissolving oral disintegrating tablets (ODTs) for quicker absorption.
