Bit of a funny one

I’ve been getting lower back pain for last week

I’m not sure if low or high e2 is causing it ?

Been reading some people get this with either high or low

I got bloods last Friday , but they messed them up so now got to wait to get some fresh ones

it gets to the point I have to get out of bed

That’s the only time I really get it in the morning in bed and have to get out of bed

I’ve just started 25 mg Dhea holing this will help

Thanks

Are you taking Cialis ? Are you sitting too long during the day ? Do you walk at least 7,000 steps per day? Do you stretch
?

This had nothing to do with estradiol.

It’s a hard one to say

I’m not blaming on e2 levels , just that my libido has gone as well reason I went to get bloods

So was maybe thinking they where low

So why I brought in the Dhea for last couple of days

I have a physical job and now had 2 weeks off work so been resting a lot more , just cardio and gym

Could be even down to laying in bed a little longer causing the pain

My protocol at moment is

17.5 mg sust a day
5 mg Cialis a day
Last 3 days 25mg Dhea

It could be where not as active as much

Just thought would get some thoughts on it

Will see if through and get some blood work done when can

Stop the Cialis and let us know in a week.

Cialis can cause lower back pain.

Yes, Cialis (tadalafil) can cause lower back pain as a side effect. This is one of the more common side effects reported by people taking the medication in clinical trials[1][2].

## Back Pain from Cialis

Back pain caused by Cialis typically:

- Occurs in 8-9% of patients taking 10-20 mg doses[2]
- Starts 12 to 24 hours after taking the medication[3][6]
- Primarily affects the lower back, and may spread to the buttocks and thighs[1][6]
- Is usually mild to moderate in severity[1]
- Generally resolves on its own within 48 hours[1][6]

**Characteristics of Cialis-induced back pain:**

- May worsen when lying down or in a horizontal position[1][6]
- Can be accompanied by muscle aches (myalgia)[5]
- Is typically self-limiting and considered a general effect of PDE5 inhibition[2]

## Managing Back Pain

If you experience back pain while taking Cialis:

1. Wait for it to subside, as it usually goes away on its own within 2 days[3].
2. Consider over-the-counter pain relief medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, after consulting with your doctor[1][4].
3. Discuss with your healthcare provider if the pain persists or becomes severe, as they may recommend adjusting your dosage or exploring alternative treatments[1][7].

It's important to note that while back pain is a known side effect, most people tolerate Cialis well. If you're concerned about this side effect, consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.

I've had lower back issues off and on all my life and one of the first things to try is to lie on you back with a rolled up towel under your lower back (similar to a device called a lumbar extender). Even if this doesn't help, it is simple to try and if you feel muscles relaxing when you do this, then that was at least one issue that needs to be resolved.

I never heard of any studies where DHEA causes back pain. I also just research it and still could have find any information on DHEA and back pain.

Since you did this recently added it in. I would stop taking and see if it has any effect on your back pain.

Let us know if it makes a difference.

Tbh it’s not a injury

As only get first thing in morning when in bed when I get up it goes

So that why was thinking Hormone related as seen a lot of people get lower back pain with high or low e2

I’ve had lower back pain from a injury before and this is defo not this

It’s a totally different feeling

Seems a lot get with low e2

But the people who get pain with high e2 is from water retention .

Just wish they never messed up my bloods as would have had a rough idea .

I’ve been taken Cialis for over a year and never had this Trouble
It typically takes several months of chronic Cialis use to cause changes in E2 levels.

I'm the exception.

Test your estrogen before stopping the Cialis to confirm.

Sustained improvement in sexual function after 12 months of tadalafil administration is associated with increased T:E ratio mainly related to reduction of E levels.

I had a blood test last week

While just on 122 test and 5 mg a day of Cialis

But they mucked up my bloods and self employed so be a while till get get them done again

Yes I have heard it lowers e2 lowers

But surely they can’t lower them like a ai

I heard it just try’s to balance out test to estrogen ratio

I really like the benefits of what it gives

But guess where been on a while it’s slowly lowered them

Maybe I will take a break from it for a while guess it could not hurt ….

How much did it drop your e2 levels ?

Did u have bloods before and while u was on Cialis ?

Thanks

How much did it drop your e2 levels ?
Hot flashes from hell tells me too low. At 2.5 mg, TT was 600+ and E2 was 15. These are bad T:E2 ratios. That was in the middle of my taper from 5 mg.

The real shit kicker here is you only know what your serum level is while on Cialis, not the tissue concentration (50x higher) which is where Cialis inhibits E2. You'll never know.

Men can go on an AI, have normal serum E2 and be deficient or have an insufficiency in the tissue. Same with magnesium or potassium, you can have normal serum levels and be deficient or have an insufficiency in the cells.

Cialis crushes my estrogen which is why I can't take it. I have labs to confirm days after starting Cialis E2 plumits and the hot flashes from hell begin.

In this case the lower back pain would be from low estrogen, because estrogen is responsible for bone remodeling.
What were your before and after results of using Cialis which lowered your e2 levels
