Low T but Free technically in range?

I see the urologist this Friday so this is more of a curiosity for me but do you often see guys with a pretty low Total T but the Free T technically still falls in range? My total t was 194 (range 332-896) and my free T was 8 (range 4.3-30.4). I would assume that the only thing that could really account for that was low shbg?

I'm 29 and my primary symptoms are severe fatigue and brain fog. No problems with ED but I have what I'd call a lazy libido. I've been battling sleep apnea the last 8 years but it has been corrected with cpap the last two. I have had trouble losing weight but up until now I had assumed it was because of my sleep

It would be interesting to see the rest of your lab tests including LH, FSH, prolactin (due to your low T at your age), and SHBG. Did you get a thyroid profile?

Free testosterone is usually 2-4 percent of total. Yours is about 4 %.

Overweight people, those with diabetes or low thyroid function, and other inflammatory diseases may have low SHBG.

No inflammatory diseases that I know of and I gained about 50lbs while dealing with the sleep apnea (lab screwed up my pressure). They didn't test T3 but my T4 was .92 (.58-1.38) and my TSH was 1.335 (.520-5.080).
