Yes...yes...yes.
When I was hospitalized unexpectedly for kidney stones/infections (at a hospital my doctor wasn't affiliated with), my wife met me at the ER with my medications and the admitting urologist just entered everything into my chart. I received my daily testosterone injection as expected. I was asked by the nurses about the protocol, they'd not heard of daily shots, but it wasn't a problem. Well, on the first day I was stuck with a 25g needle...that was a problem!
I am glad to hear you had an attentive doc during your hospitalization. I always wondered what would happen if I were hospitalized. In my experience, that is definitely not the norm. I have never heard of a patient receiving Testosterone while in the hospital before, and I have been doing this for 10 years. Not trying to be argumentative, but I would guess that that urologist was well versed in Testosterone therapy. Pulmonologist, cardiologists, general surgeons, and hospitalists are not. In my experience, if they don't know what it is for off the top of their heads, they never order it to be given to an inpatient.
