Just got my 5 week lab results - please give me advice

Hello everyone.

I am a 42 yr old and I started TRT 6 weeks ago after finding an initial level of 174.

My doc prescribed 200mg Testosterone Cypioniate and 1 mg Anastrozle once weekly. I am also taking HCG twice weekly. I knew nothing about TRT when I started but have been doing a ton of reading since then and am concerned about the AI and would like to see about getting the Dr to reduce the amount which I have to get him to do as it comes premixed with the test.

They did not have my first labs scheduled until 13 weeks so I went to Discount labs and bought my own. They send me a 2 month supply of meds so I am wondering if after looking at these labs if anyone could recommend any changes so that I can run them by the Dr before they ship my next 2 month supply out. They seem to be open to changing things within reason if you have good cause.

I inject the test/AI every Thursday night and took these labs on a Thursday afternoon before my weekly injection.

Based on the results should I see about asking them to lower the AI and/or switching to biweekly injections or does all look good?

Those results are damn near perfect though.

So I should just keep doing what I have been doing?

I thought if nothing else ask the Dr to maybe reduce the AI to 1/2mg a week.

The program I am in includes labs at 13 weeks so in another 7 weeks I will get to see my progress again.

These are good trough numbers, I'll bet all levels are higher at peak. If taking AI's have taught me anything is estrogen usually decreases over time. I'm more of a fan of frequent injections to rid myself of the possibility of keeping estrogen low for too long .

Recovering from long term estrogen suppression can take a long time, I'd rather inconvenience myself with frequent injections.

With your SHBG level, I personally would inject EOD. But if that’s too much injecting, I would 100% at least inject twice a week. Your labs actually look pretty good while on 1mg of anastrozole per week, but I don’t think it would be a horrible idea to lower the ai dose down to 0.5mg per week.
